RESTAURANT JOMO BEACH by L'ENDROIT (DKR) — Restaurant in Saly Portudal

Disappointing as looking forward to an excellent repeat of a thiof (fish) lunch we had both had a couple of months ago. Not first visit then, but this time both food and service were bad. Didn't have medium size fish my partner wanted so, instead of giving him a larger one gratis, they expected him to chose and pay for either the smaller or the larger one (Bad customer relations there). Then it turned out to be too soft and tasteless, typical of a frozen fish and far from fresh. When I pointed this out, the reply I got via the poor waitress was a 'blame the fisherman' from the manager as if the chef wouldn't know a fresh fish if it were to bite him up the rear end. My food was supposed to be a traditional African dish which was equally dreary and uninspiring, and I should know for good reason(!). Manager never showed himself to explain or apologise. Tells you a lot. Place was too quiet for my liking too so I suspect it is going downhill, unauthentic and touristy. Only good thing was the view which really is no thanks to this place. Left after main meal as just fed up with the place....

FAMILY AND FRIEND WHO HAVE VISITED JOMO BEACH BEFORE I DID, TOLD ME THEY ENJOYED THE FOOD, STAFF WAS PLEASANT AND A NICE ATMOSPHERE. Que dire… fille de sénégalaise donc métisse j’étais accompagnée d’un ami vivant ici celui-ci n’avais pas faim donc nous avons pris un plat pour moi deux boisson et un café lors de la prise de commande la serveuse lui a un peu forcé la main en wolof pour qu’il consomme plus (que je comprend bien Dieu merci )il a gentiment décliné , les prix affichés ne sont pas ceux que j’ai payé à la fin une différence de plus de 4000 francs cfa ce n’est pas pour le prix mais c’est inadmissible! Ce comportement ne fais que renforcer que les étrangers ne sont pris ici que pour des machines à frics et cela est fort regrettable… Aucun reçu détailler ne m’a été remis on m’a juste annoncé un prix à la caisse .

Le sérieux et le professionnalisme de votre établissement ne peu que être remis en cause . Et malgré cela votre employé a tout de même reçu un pour boire .
