KZ Takeaway — Restaurant in La Digue

We went there for breakfast to have a change from our hotel. The lovely and friendly lady there prepared everything fresh for us and the service was very good. We had an omelette and a club sandwich, and also some freshly baked rolls that were still warm, everything was very tasty! Definitely a good option for breakfast as you get a bit more variety and the price of the food with coffee was around 7 euros per person. It is open already at 8:30 AM. The restaurant just opened 2 weeks ago, make sure to give it a chance and to support the local business of La Digue’s people.

Great service at this little place. The sign is not obvious (see pic with the menu). I was super happy that there were veggie options - I got the veggie burger with cheese. It had a coleslaw on top of the burger, which made it super tasty. I highly recommend trying it with the chilly ketchup. Also, there are a couple of tables with chairs outside for seating, luckily with umbrellas as it is full sun in the middle of the day. (Note: I added a pic of the hours, as the time for Mon-Fri was changed by hand, yet it is supposed to say 12 pm. Also, they indicate that they are closed...

KZ Takeaway & Cafe is an absolute gem on La Digue! The food is simply delicious, we tried the calamari, prawns, salad, and sandwiches, and everything was incredibly tasty and fresh. You can really feel the love in every dish.

But what makes this place truly special is the amazing lady who runs it, she’s the kindest person we’ve met on the island, always smiling and full of fascinating stories. Her warmth and hospitality make every visit feel like coming home.
