Quality vs. Quantity

We have seen the dive shop when we arrived on La Digue. Unfortunately the shop was closed during the normal working hours on the island. So we called a number in the window and was able to organize a 1/2 day trip (2 dives) two days later. The other days was fully booked. By phone we got the info what it will cost and where and when we have to be.

On the day itself we arrived at the office at the requested time. We was asked for our names and then we could go to the boat. On the boat itself, we signed the legal papers, got the weight and prepared our equipment. We had two nice dives with different fishes, turtles, white tip reef hai, etc.

Nevertheless, I wouldn't book again. Main reasons are We just went straight to the boat and never was asked for our brevet (OK, we had our full equipment with us, so it implicitly shows that we know what we are doing). Anyway, no cross-check of brevet or amount of dives. Check-In could be done in the office in advance to avoid this on the boat. There was no basical safety briefing just a rudimentary boat briefing). No word on Bottle of oxygen, medical things, medical check list, one hand for the boat, etc. Few words on restroom, dry zone, towels... We missed some reminders in the dive briefing (Hand signs, Buddy check, buoy, etc.). I can't tell if this was only on our side, because I have seen that the briefing for another group took more time. Less space on main deck, mostly due to the tanks (~16) in the middle, both compressors, BCDs and suits for all guests. Which makes also the surface time between both dives not really nice, to sit beside of two running compressors.

Positive Small groups 1 guide, 4...6 divers (Top!) Dive time max 60min, which we did. We was asked about sea sicknessand also got some medicine. Which I personally appreciated. Also other had some issues during this time.

Myself: AOWD, 130+ dives Buddy: Rescue...

My experience with Trek Divers on La Digue was nothing short of exceptional! I had the opportunity to do my first dives here and take the Open Water Diver course, and it was an unforgettable journey.

Aisha, my diving instructor, is truly a top-notch professional with an abundance of knowledge and skills. She made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the learning process, and I knew I was in great hands from the start.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate because I was the only one in the course, which allowed me to have a personalized 1-on-1 experience. Aisha's undivided attention meant that every question I had was answered thoroughly, and she provided all the help I needed to gain confidence in my diving abilities.

The course began with a pool session to learn the basics, and Aisha made sure I felt at ease during this crucial phase. Her guidance and patience were instrumental in creating a positive and educational environment.

The open water dives were simply breathtaking! We explored fantastic dive spots around La Digue, and the marine life I encountered was beyond my wildest expectations. From sharks and octopuses to turtles, cowfish, blowfish, dolphins, spider crabs, rays, and eels, every dive was a mesmerizing adventure into the underwater world.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Trek Divers to anyone eager to explore the wonders of the ocean. Aisha's expertise and the personalized experience made my journey into diving truly unforgettable. Thank you, Trek Divers, for an incredible time!...

I had a great experience diving with them. Even before my arrival to Seychelles they were very responsive to emails and also to what's app. The dive center is just few steps away from La Digue jetty. On my diving day, I did all the paper work there and walked to their catamaran. Aisha was our guide, she provided a very clear briefing on the boat . She is very informed about marine life and knows the sites very well. Between the two dives there were some cakes and beverages. They also limit the numbers of divers in order to crowd people together.

We had some excellent diving days with Trek Divers (Mariko & Tony). Everything was well organized, high quality and focus on safety. Everyone was very kind, engaging and you could feel the good spirit among the crew and DMs as well. The boat is also big and very comfy and the equipment is new. I can definitely recommend diving with Trek Divers on La Digue! I have dived with many shops around the globe and this one was one of the top experiences. Apart from the operation being great, also the diving was! ;)
