Modrijanova domačija / Grill — Restaurant in Postojna

After a nice stroll through the expansive cave system, me and my girlfriend stopped here for lunch. The outdoor seating is nice and spatious, making the ambience pleasant and somewhat homely. The waiters were also nice, one man in particular being very communicative and I could see that he knew how to make a good impression with diners. A sign of a good waiter if I've seen one.

The food itself was also very nice and tasty. We ordered the two-person platter and it absolutely made for a grand meal to share in. The meat was nice, tender and juicy, the chicken being my favorite. The barbeque cheese I was feeling less favorable towards as it seemed a bit too mild in taste, but that is mostly personal preference speaking.

And for dessert we had the custard cake and the "Gibanica" (forgot the name in English), which were both very pleasant as well. It was a nice large meal that came at a fairly good price as well, which is always a good thing.

My compliments to the cooks and I hope the waiter who served us is having a pleasant day, as he certainly does...

It is located just in front of the Postojna caves. When we were going to the caves, the smell of the grill was already enough to convince us to go there after the caves. And we went. The prices are way too high and the meat is of bad quality. First of all did my friend and I payed about 30 Euros for a meat plate meant for two people which was enough to feed only one. Second of all did the meat have more tendons in it than I have fingers on my hand and didn't have any taste. Third of all I had diarrhea the following 3 days which is extremely annoying...
