Hank's Olde Irish — Restaurant in City Centre

A great location for a drink - central and with a lovely dark, brick vibe that earns the 'Olde Irish' title. The main reason I've knocked a star off is because of the last experience I had there - in which a large crowd of unmasked people were packed in to order from the bar, as opposed to the COVID-safe practice of table service etc. In addition, be careful with your belongings when in the outside area - as the fence backs up directly onto an area used by a large group of people sleeping rough. On this last visit a friend had their camera stolen with someone reaching through the fence, unzipping their bag, and running away. The staff (and the other customers) were mostly supportive when this happened, but it generally it is a risk, with the small area meaning you are often quite close...

Giving a 5 ⭐️ review because you guys were at the very tails' end of an unbelievable SM frenzy! So very proud that you stood your ground and vindication was the result 🙌🏼 Will be sure to pop in soon though, and will encourage others to do the same (both visit & review).
