Good Company Market St Georges Mall (Thursdays) — Local services in City Centre

The food is really priced towards tourist pockets, but i'm okay with that as long as what i'm getting is what is advertised and i only eat there once a month. Yesterday i decided to branch out from my usually vendor and had the 3 springrolls for R65. I had one pork noodle, bobotie and Salmon.

I couldn't believe my own taste buds and eyes that i had to take photos. As i bit into the food, there is barely any pork and only noodle in the one, while the Salmon one, had like 2 tiny tiny tiny pieces of smoked salmon. Maybe you can spot the pork and salmon because i certainly couldn't taste it?

Unfortunately, i didn't eat at the market and couldn't complain directly. I have eaten these springrolls before as they have been around for years...not too sure why their quality has become this terrible. Guess i'll just stick to my usual!

I've also stopped buying Samoosa at the Earth Fair market, because every time i bite into one, there is basically NO filling for a R7...

Since it's inception a few years ago I have loved taking my family and friends & my clients (I am a guide - English/Spanish/Portuguese/ Afrikaans -speaking) to this feast for the eye and tastebuds! I regularly search for an excuse on Thursdays to be in Cape Town's historic centre in order to share in the scrumptious offerings of good food, organic curiosities, colourful concoctions and delicious delicacies! Try the smoked snoek, the Stokiesdraai biltong, the mushroom sosatie (skewer) and every other delight on offer! Lots of take-home options...

Used to be waaay better. All too expensive and lack of taste. Had a salad with halloumi and chicken at the Greek booth. No taste, just deep fried chicken and halloumi on a small bed of rocket, no-taste tomatoes and onions. Awful. Fries were cold and undone. Worst spent 110 Zar so far. All stuff more expensive and less taste and service. The beef lasagna from the SA Lady with Potjes was ok, nothing special. Last year the potjes were amazing. I tried them this year... no special taste... Would definitely not recommend it...
