Worst experience, you can get! We were 2 customers in line. The first one was being helped by a casher. I waited and waited. The customer before me had a pretty large order and was indecisive. I noticed another employee walking up and down by the till points. I tried to signal her to check if nobody could man the other till as about 3-5mins had passed already, but she was not paying attention. Then she came out and I thought she was coming to me in line but she passed me and went to the toilet. She came out from the toilet 5 minutes later, the first customer was still busy with the order, and i said, "Excuse me," and she ignored me while passing scratching the crack of her bum. When the first customer finished and it was my turn, then she returned to her till. I confronted her and asked her to call the manager, and they both rolled their eyes at me, never apologising or showing any empathy. They both did not wear any name tags, or it was not visible. I requested their names, and it was:
Yonela Nyangana - Casher Nomzamo Madikazi - Manager
When me and the children left, I could hear the manager shouting, "Hamba!"

Me and my children entered for the first time in 3 months since the initial one star review. I placed my order and went to get seated as I passed one table near the window I noticed Nomzamo Madikazi was sitting and having lunch.
When she was done she went back to the kitchen and made a whole racket loud really loud talking, shouting and the other staff was laughing to a point that I felt that this is very unprofessional. I called Burger King customer care the assistant on the line though it was the radio playing. And I told her no, it is the staff making the noise. The Customer service assistant said she will call the store and speak to the manager but I must send an email with the attention to O. I do not know that the dialog was (as it was in xhosa) but it felt like I was being discussed in the commotion as I could see some of the staff staring in my direction. Is there 24hour surveillance to replay and determine what the conversation was about?

Read moreThe first time, they came to Paarl. I enjoyed their food they were very expensive at the time. They managed to keep the prices almost the same and have a lot of specials.
I love their chicken wings just as much as their burgers. I just feel like they need to do better with their dippimg sauce, maybe add ranch sauce. So far, i found them the cheapest on their chicken wings because at all the other restaurants, it cost you more than an R100 just to get 10 wings, but at Burger King, you can get 12 chicken wings for just R68. Infact, taste just like Spur's but fresher. I order almost every day.
The one thing I dont like is that most of the time, when i give instruction as to how i want my burger, they almost get it wrong every single time. When i order a wopper burger and add cheese, they dont even add the cheese. When asked to remove the garnish and sauces, they screw that up as well.
I recently bought three days in a row for a bacon burger. The first time i ordered it a while ago and the bacon on the burger was as advertised on the image. These passed few days, the bacon has been diced bacon and small three pieces, super thin and small. You can barely see it when you remove the bun. There is almost no bacon at all. I did bring this under their attention. I even spoke to the cashier, and the person who gives you your food at the drive-through and still the same. I told them the burger is expensive and you expect me to pay for something that is not up to standard because i did have this burger many times and this is not how it suppose to look all the guy just said is sorry every flippen time. I also found out that the kitchen staff can actually hear you when you order, and still they mess it up. I dont mind waiting in the parking lot for my food. i know that these are hard times, and they just ensure that you get fresh and warm food. So i won't complain about that, really.
I have decided from today onwards that I will not buy their burgers anymore. I will only buy their chicken wings because i am not willing to pay for food that gets served as advertised.

I was traveling from the karoo through Paarl to Cape Town. While waiting for my lift to arrive I ordered and started eating my whopper. I had some luggage with me, as one would when travelling. I was enjoying my food even though they couldn't be arsed to give me any sauces with my meal.
After only two bites of my burger, the security guard (who henceforth will be referred to as Supercop) asked me to leave the restaurant. At first I was confused but I quickly realised that he must have thought I was homeless because of all my luggage.
I tried to reason with Supercop. I told him I'd leave after my food. I told him my lift was only 4 minutes away just outside Wellington. I told him he should not kick out paying customers whether they have a home or not. He didn't relent. And, before I could even start eating my chips, Supercop was taking my bags outside.
I didn't protest because I didn't want to make a scene, and fortunately my lift arrived as he was throwing the last of my belongings on the floor. Supercop, at this point flabbergasted that I had not been lying, quickly disappeared.
I used to love burger king but now it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It didn't seem like anyone in the restaurant had been trained in what they do. And it is Paarl. I wasn't at a Boerewors King, now was I?
