Really very disappointed. I went there with 4 of my family members for the buffet, and from the get go, the waiter was almost never at our table. The restaurant was very dimly lit, and a very overzealous homeless person forced his way into the shop and demanded I should give him money. I feel that the restaurant staff should have prevented this, or at least have a security gate in place. Then when we ordered, we waited an hour and forty mins for our sushi. The waiter was only there ONCE in that entire time. And the restaurant was only at about 30% capacity. When the sushi eventually came, the deep fried items were ice cold and chewy, the sushi in general was tasteless and not fresh at all. Because we waited so long, we immediately put in another large order (x3 of us). I started eating and noticed they left off 3 items I ordered, and they were the ones I really wanted to eat. I was very frustrated. We ate and chilled for another hour, and then only one of the three orders came. My sister's and mine never came. When I asked the waitress where my second order is, she said our table is done. So obviously they did not want to serve us more sushi, perhaps we had to big of an appetite according to them. I've dined at many many sushi buffets, and this was really the worst so far. Never once got a smile from the staff, and never was checked up on, asked if Im happy with the service, nothing. Read moreA few years ago, I visited this establishment and was immediately put off by the visibly unclean cutlery and crockery. I left that day vowing never to return. However, this evening I was craving Chinese food, and unfortunately, this was the only place in Paarl I knew that offered it. Against my better judgment, I decided to give them one last chance. I sincerely regret that decision.
From the moment I placed my order, things went wrong. I clearly requested sweet and sour pork with noodles, but the woman behind the counter misheard and repeated it back with rice instead. Despite being corrected not once but twice by my partner, she assured us she had it right. Yet when we got home, we discovered they had, in fact, given us rice.
As if that disappointment wasn't enough, the sweet and sour pork was burnt. Worse still, the black bean dish I ordered contained a hair. Absolutely revolting.
We immediately contacted the restaurant and returned to confront them. Upon seeing the hair, the woman at the counter refunded us without hesitation—which honestly speaks volumes.
This place is unsanitary and has been for years. I’m genuinely shocked that more people haven’t spoken up. I will be reporting this establishment to the health and safety department. I should have trusted my instincts and stayed away.

When my boyfriend( who was doing the buffet) received his second round of sushi we found the exact same portion with hair on that I had received earlier, not to mention that the sushi order was wrong as well.
