Red Mountain Spur — Restaurant in Drakenstein Local Municipality

Had a bad experience a few years ago with the food and manager who disagreed with me on my calamari that was not tough when i complaint when it was clearly over cooked she replaced my meal with a starter meal without my concent just to prove her point then it turns out that it was over cooked i walked out without eating my meal never went back... I visited spur for the first time in years ordered a 300g sirlon steak and the steak was cooked perfecty but was cold when i complaint about it the manager came i explained why i complained and why i returned the food... then he just did not heated up the steak for me he replaced it so that my steak wont be over cooked... This time i was amazed on the taste and the service i also asked for a hot plate instead and received my food in...

We waited for more than half an hour for our food. Only after we enquired about our food it eventually was served. The food was cold and it was immediately brought to the attention of the waitress who said that she had reported it to the manager. He/ she never came to our table. We nevertheless finished our food and left. We were accompanied by my 4year old granddaughter. She got a tag and I was highly impressed by the safety measures put in place for the children. Unfortunately we left the restaurant and only discovered at home that the tag was still attached to the child. No beeper or alarm went off so it could have happened while we were eating. We returned to the restaurant so that the tag could be removed. Again no one bothered to offer an apology....

This spur is definetely a favourite among my family. The spur as TWO play areas, two bathrooms in the Spur ((litteraly inside the spur, you don't have to walk out of spur to go to the bathroom)), A LOT of seats/tables, TV Screens that shows the latest live sport as well as cartoons for the little ones.

This Spur is a family favourite because it suites everyone in the family, be it the kids or the elderly. We celebrated my granmothers birthday and even our business meetings can be held here.

This spur is one step away from THE BEST spur ever and that is only for the few that requires a smoking area. But aside from that we got the GREATEST service ever from our waiter Mark (host). This sour really does take care of you and...
