Carolina Spur — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

I was very hesitant about having breakfast at the spur,becaus of previous BAD experiences at other spur restaurants.... Well what a pleasant surprise I had here!!! Maybe I got them on a good day,but I can only report on my experience at the time of my visit. From the moment we walked in to when we left everything was superb. The staff were friendly and helpfull. They all were neat in their uniforms with Management in a different uniform. That helps if you are looking for management. I am VERY fistideous abou my breakfast and 90% of the time it is wrong because waiting staff do not listen to the customer or check the meal when it comes out of the kitchen. Mine was perfect, and I was asked when the food was placed in front of me whether it was according to my liking. I would like to thank my waitress Mandi for her professional attitude. I would like to take the time to share that I have experience the best service at Spur Greenacres not only was the service top notch the but staff and management was very good hearted. If the waiter is still working there she might remember me, I am a short colored female. I was there last year some time on a Sunday morning taking the kids out for a waffle , ice cream and to enjoy the playground. I had an 8year old boy, 5year old girl and 1year old baby girl with me. The waiter probably noticed that I did not have any money to buy myself something to eat as she was very concerned, as she checked up on me regularly and later came to me with a bucket of fried chips with compliments from the manager. I was so surprised and felt bit shy about it as I was extremely hungry at that stage but did not have money to buy myself anything as the idea was to treat the kids with the little i had with me. So yesterday was one of the worst nightmares of our lives as we went to our local spur for something to eat before we could catch our bus. The manger at the door was so welcoming and so full of life. She sat us down, and probably allocated a waiter to us, one waiter came after about 3-4 minutes of being sat, she told us our waiter was going to attend to us and literally saw her informing a lady waiter which I didn’t get her name because of how mean, rude she was. She walked past us twice and when I tried reaching out to her just across the table she shouted at us told us she was coming so we couldn’t really wait any longer as we wanting a in and out type of a meal and we knew exactly what we wanted.
