Café Capellini Walmer — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

Had breakfast in their new position in Walmer Park yesterday with my daughter having enjoyed meals at their Sunridge branch. Must say what a disappointment. I was seated quickly and explained i was waiting for another person. No offer of something to drink in meantime. After i attracted someone's (looked like a supervisor) and asjed id i could place order I ordered two iced coffees. My daughter arrived to find her's waiting. They did not taste of coffee and the paper straws while 'green' just don't work wirh a shake. Now to the order - I ordered the meaty stack which is two topped with poached egg, hollandaise and sliced avo. The egg was not cooked in traditional poached way and was hard and gooey ay same time. The whole stack had slid sideways so the overall appearance was not great either. Not a good choice. My daughter had a toasted sarmie and chips which were fine. We waited over 40 minutes for our food though. Afterwards we decided to have cappucinnos which turned out to taste burnt and I mentioned to waitress who was lovely that they were not drinkable. Really way below par and doubt I would rush back. Is the habit of a waiter asking how your meal is a thing of the past as so few...

Let me start with I know it was busy Saturday after pay week. Ordered a cafe mocha. I could see the chocolate sauce and I could see the espresso and milk layers. When mixed and tasted, I tasted warm milk. My friend and I had the same thing. We added sugar and it didn't get any better. We ordered half portion alfredo. Also very bland, added all the parmesan and a lot of salt. Unfortunately, not my best experience at a Capellini experience. I couldn't complain about anything as it took a long while for us to eventually get hold of our waitress as she was rushing everywhere. And when she did come over, we just decided in wasn't worth the time to complain. Wondering if there were too many tables...

Terrible experience! We ordered mojitos and they made them but used tap water instead of lemonade/soda water?? When we sent it back their response was “this is how we make mojitos” with PE tap water? The same tap water that govt issued a report over stating it’s not safe for consumption?? Absolutely not! We had 3 different waitresses and not one of them introduced themselves, they only have 1 plug point in the whole restaurant, every single glass they gave us was dirty and they make their onion rings with a sweet batter (just a side note incase you like your onion rings a certain way) it’s a pretty place but that’s all it’s got going for it...
