We visited wimpy on the 20/03/24. What an absolute disappointment.
Hubby ordered 1/4 chicken with chips.
The chips were so hard. They offered to change the chips. When the food came back, fresh chips ,COLD chicken!!🤦
Food went back 2nd time.🤷🏼
I ordered a waffle and a cappuccino.
The waffle was lovely. I Love my cappuccino especially wimpy's ,but that was not a cappuccino I got. It had a bitter taste like when a filter coffee was kept warm for a while.
Cappuccino is a dessert coffee it hasn't got a bitter taste.
I asked Gail our waitress to find out from the person who made the coffee incase they made a mistake.
She insisted that it was a cappuccino saying she was standing there when the cappuccino was made. She said she won't argue with me. I know what a cappuccino tastes like!!
Well if walmer park Wimpy's cappuccino has a bitter taste,then that will be my last visit to that wimpy.
I always loved Wimpy's cappuccino.
Gail didn't even offer to have a fresh one made.
After the cappuccino incident she didn't bother to come check on us.
Hubby had to ask another waitress to have his food warmed ,seemed that the chicken was cold when he got the fresh chips .
What a disappointing visit to Walmer park Wimpy!!
Gail needs proper training. She didn't cook the food,why must she snub the Client if they not satisfied!!🤦

The saying "cant complain about service when there is none" well this place should use this as there slogan. Ordered, took forever to arrive. When the kiddies meal arrived my daughter was so happy expecting a joy to play with which just seamed like it would never arrive when eventually our server arrived I ask for the toy and got the bill. Nice hand written in red pen Tip with R and a line for me to write the amount. I used to work as a server and know how much tips mean to people. But wow you would think it was expected from this staff. The server never returned to the table. After waiting 20min I decided I would take the food I wanted take away to the counter myself and pay. Standing waiting for three people to scramble around each other at the till to get my food packed and my bill sorted, the manager just stood there looking off into the distance. A very soft and frankly uninterested "thank you" was all that the manager could manage as we left. My advise, if any restraunt in Port Elizabeth need staff training on how NOT to serve people at any level. This place is perfect may even be a great team...

The kids were not allowed in the play area because, I'm guessing by its size there would be no social distancing. But that's not even the worst part about this place, the food is. The soda is flat, like it's been open for a whole week. The buns one the burgers were stale, they fell apart as soon as we touched them! The meat is nothing to tell anyone about.
