18/12/2022 My boyfriend and I decided to go to Spur and have a nice Lunch because we always support Spur. Little did we know it would be 2 hours of unpleasantness. We were seated at 4 pm. We had to wait 30min for some one to actually take our order. During that time all the waitress walked passed us and ignored us. We still had menus on our tables that were closed. The waitress would look at us and not one would come and ask if we have been served. We tried to get several waitress attention to place an order . We finally got ones attention and placed our order. With in 5 mins we got our Cokes, however after she walked off I noticed something floating in my drink it is was a chip crum or like the glass wasn’t even washed properly. I was to upset to ask for a new one because I knew it would take even longer. After that we waited about 45 mins for our food to arrive, apparently our waitress told another waitress that the food was taking long ( I don’t get why she told her when she could of come to us ). After that waitress left around 15 mins later the manger came to us and also told us our food is taking long and she doesn’t know why. My boyfriend and I said it was alright but we muttered to ourselves it doesn’t change anything because the service was terrible already and we were already waiting so long. The food was amazing as always however we never saw our waitress again. I wanted a doggy bag and waited 5 mins to see if the waitress would be back and she never came I flagged down another waitress and kindly asked for a doggy bag she said okay . I waited 15mins for someone to give me a doggy bag, during this time the waitress walked passed several times and ignored me I told my boyfriend to go and pay because I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible and I told him I would wait for a doggy bag and again sever waitress walked passed me and not one even looked in my direction. A cleaning lady walked passed and saw me she came back and asked me if everything is okay I said yes all I am waiting for is a doggy bag she said okay not a problem and she manage to get someone to get me a doggy bag. Our original waitress came back and said “Yho I thought you guys have left already”, (I was not happy about that because clearly she never came to check up on us.) we finally got our slip and left. Read moreWe had such terrible service at the Las Vegas Spur Ranch today. 1.) We waited a while for the drinks to arrive. We ordered x2 hot chocolates and only received 1 spoon. My little brother ordered his meal at the same time as we ordered our drinks. Apart from his meal taking a while to arrive, he was not given cutlery. He ate his whole meal without any cutlery. 3.)The table we sat at was below the aircon vent and it dripped cold drops of water on my father in-law.the entire time we were there. 4.)My father-in-law ordered the Chicken, Avo and Bacon salad. Only to be told by the waiter when the food was eventually being delivered to the table that there is no avo. My father in-law then changed his meal to the Beef Cheddar melt burger with a pepper sauce. Only to be told after most of the table had eaten as his burger was going to be delivered that their was no pepper sauce.The reason he ordered the x2 meals was because of the avo and then the pepper sauce. He then canceled his meal and walked out. 5.) We received 4 meals and had to wait until our food was cold until we received any cutlery. We had to hunt a staff member down to get cutlery. My fiance cut his ribs with a pocket knife as he was tired of waiting. The rest of our food was cold. 6.)Our empty drinks were never cleared and we were not offered a second round.
There clearly needs to be better training for the waiters and maybe a bit of team work.
The kitchen should also do sufficient prep before shift. They should know how many portions of sauce /avo etc they have for the shift. If they are running low it is their job to let management know they are running low and the manager should alert the waiters of the low on stock items. Poorly run and honestly a let down. My husband and i planned a date night last week Saturday
We went to spur to get dinner probably between 20h00 and 20h30
We ordered burgers with the rib patty. We had a really good waiter. The food came then we realised the chips was cold and definitely not fresh and the onion rings was burnt. This was still fine but when my husband started to eat his burger he realized the RIB patty was still raw. Both of us lost our appetite and called a manager.
The manager said he will give my husband a new meal and replace my chips and onion rings. I asked if they could put my burger in a to go box and also the meal they are prepping for my hubby. They said they will make a new meal for me to so they can make up for it and take our drinks(R44) off the bill.
I was completely fine with this as this was a very nice offer. We paid for the food but not for the drinks. We got home and this is what we saw....
They did make a full portion of really good onion rings and replaced my husbands chips and onion rings... The burgers was a different story. They took the pattys of both of our burgers cooked it some more and placed it on new buns no sauce on buns or pattys. It was really tasteless.
