I came to McDonalds Beacon Bay, East London at 6:23am on Sunday 16/06/2024 wanting a Boerie Hashbrown Stack, but when I arrived to the drive thru there was no response from the speaker, so I proceeded to go all around the building looking through the service windows to see if anyone was inside, when I spotted a gentlemen inside and a lady by the McCafe station, I decided to park my car and try and go inside, when I reached the door the lady by the McCafe station indicated by hand signals to go around through the drive thru, which I already did but got no response none the less I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and proceeded to go back to my car and go throughtge drive thru for a second time, now slightly frustrated when I got there it was yet again no response, now visibly upset I started hooting my cars hooter to get the attention of the 2 workers inside, but no answer I went back to the front of the building to hoot at the front door but no response and now I could not see a sign of life inside the building, as I assume they were hiding from me, eventually the gentleman came to the door to apologise and tell me that their systems were still offline which I found extremely unprofessional as if they had only told me that the first time I went through the drive thru or even when I came to the front door the first time I would've been more understanding than I was in that moment. I found this whole experience extremely unprofessional. Not only does it state on Google that it should've opened at 6am but now when asking for a coffee I was told that I couldn't as the machine was not heated up yet. Read moreGiving a one star is very generous because if I could give this branch 0 stars I WOULD !! Firstly I ordered a very simple meal (6 nuggets and medium fires) and I waited for over 30 minutes !!! isn't this supposed to be a fast food establishment ?? Another complaint would be that two people (white girls) ordered after me and got their meals before me which caused more frustration for me as they got their meals in a matter of a few minutes.Then after waiting and I finally got my meal (my nuggets were burnt and my fries were undercooked)my sister and I tried to state my complaint but the staff member ignored us and brushed us off disrespectfully. While I was waiting I saw a staff member check another white persons receipt that ordered after us and was about to leave after them and then the customer themselves had to ask the staff to check mine as she was about to walk off. Also the restaurant itself was a mess as there were multiple dirty tables and receipts just left around and there were staff members who were just lounging around.I do not know if it was blatant incompetence or racism that was present from my experience, but I am not impressed. Do better McDonald Beacon. Bay you are not putting a good name for the fast...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting service. What is the point of having 2 service intercoms when only 1 person is working for both? This messes up the ordering system, my latest (and not first) experience made me so angry because I was sitting behind another customer waiting to place an order while an order was being taken at the other intercom, while this was taking place, a 4th customer arrived and drove in behind the customer currently placing an order(1st customer) . Once that order was placed, the 4th customer drove forward and started to place an order, leaving the 2nd customer and myself (3rd customer) STILL waiting to place an order. This is not fair and poor staff skills and I feel that the 2nd intercom is not needed due to these kinds of mess ups. The manager then proceeded to tell me she will speak with the person taking orders. I don't feel it's that's person's fault, but the stores fault in general. Train staff better and work the sytem better. I WILL NEVER go back to this McDonalds...
