exquisitely presented. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and elegant, setting the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The service was impeccable; every detail was attended to with care, making us feel truly welcomed and pampered throughout the evening. The chef/owner, whom we had the pleasure of meeting, was not only talented but also genuinely humble and passionate about their craft. Each dish that emerged from the kitchen was a masterpiece, showcasing creativity and skill. We opted for the three-course menu, which was a journey of flavors and textures. What stood out were the small complementary hors d’oeuvres served between courses. These bites were not just palate cleansers but culinary delights in their own right—each one bursting with flavor and beautifully plated. Overall, our experience at Phaka was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm welcome to the last bite of dessert, every moment was a testament to the restaurant's dedication to excellence. It's a place where passion for food meets outstanding hospitality, leaving a lasting impression and a desire to return.

We had a wonderful evening at Phaka! The staff was very welcoming. It is a cozy and classy establishment. With fine cuisine and wonderful wines. The jazz music fits the vibe. They expose beautiful paintings of local artists. If you want to, you can even buy them! We had a birthday boy in our company so we had the pleasure to enjoy an amazing carrot cake with a beautiful birthday song, performed by all the staff members. Phaka is an inspiring cook and personality! Go and discover his unique dishes and the warm atmosphere ✨👨🏾‍🍳

First time trying out Phaka. The atmosphere was great, we were actually the only two guests that evening. Service was great. The lamb shank was delicious. The salmon was also good, it doesn't need the avo.

To be honest this is far from fine dining. Maybe the plating look instagrammable but the flavour combinations are not coherent. Pork belly had no crackling (the waitress mentioned it would), was so tough that we struggled to slice it with a knife. Had to return the dish. Bone marrow starter was fatty, combined with oil on fat flavour combos which didn’t make sense at all. Above all the marrow was not even cooked properly and was red inside. This also was returned. The duck breast was the only decent food but nothing amazing. Think they should give more attention to the food and flavours in lieu of the plating!...

Although we were the only diners at the time, we were very pleasantly surprised, on our first visit. The restaurant is very elegant and pleasant, the staff friendly and welcoming and the food tasty and immaculately presented. A varied menu and good selection of wines adds to the experience. The option of pairing each meal with a glass of wine is a wonderful idea! Maybe one suggestion - the chatter from the kitchen needs to be checked. While prices are fairly high, the quality of the dishes makes Phaka a great venue for special occasions. I hope it goes from strength...
