First impression is that this place is a little darker than my usual taste, but the setup is neat and clean. The "lounge vibe is quite apparent". The staff failed at the standard test of "why should I eat here" and could not come up with a good response apart from the standard "we are good"..

UPDATE: Ask for Mbomgeni to make you custom coffees. He is good.

ADDENDUM: on closer inspection I noticed the couches are quite worn off and looks untidy in the setting, but I presume with dim liting this can be overlooked. UPDATE. Spoked to the manager and noticed the couches are being fixed.

ADDENDUN: Still a bit scattered but the place actually took a recommendation and it might be improving.

Menu prices and selection seems quite reasonable if unimaginative. An example would be the pizzas don't realy have names, just long descriptions. But that aside I look forward to a good meal.

FIRST IMPRESSION...

The meal arrived and was not what I expected. Bland and dry is not words I would usualy apply to a pizza. But after Tony's and Big Bad Wolf pizza I think my standards are not that low anymore. This failed to amaze me and I'd rather take this home and add herbs and cheese and bake it again.

The coffee used is ok, not the best or the worst. My cup did arive a bit colder than I would have liked. Sugar is shoved into the side of the cup and not served separately, which crowds the saucer and spills coffee.

Final verdict: sadly disappointed by an average experience that I felt I paid...

Food is amazing! Alcohol is reasonably priced, Set up and atmosphere is great. Management is friendly. I just had a terrible experience with one of the waitresses, we had a bill of R 400 but the we had to constantly look for the waitress for things, which in itself wasn't the worst thing, however due to us having to look for her constantly we provided a R 20 tip eventhough we were not obligated (but it's terrible not to tip) . Our waitress looked at the money and said our tip wasn't 10 % and it should increase. I asked if it was mandatory for 10 % she said no but they only get paid in tips so we should give her more. We declined and she was angry. It completely ruined our night which was lovely until then. This was a month back. We used to go every 2nd week as its close to home but now we'll never go back as its ruined our view...

Very disappointed that additional charges were levied on my bill, items that were never ordered nor received. The manager actually disagreed and refused to rectify the bill, it would appear that they seem to capitalise on the fact that people are ordering alcohol and assume that they are not able to verify their own bill. As much as this is a lovely venue, unethical behaviour just left a sour taste in my mouth, I chose not to take up a fight over a trivial matter and just pay the bill that was served to me, I suggest that you be very well aware of what you're being billed for.
