Wimpy Drive Thru BP Malibongwe Drive — Restaurant in Gauteng

Wimpy has really taken a dive in my books. From being one of the leading brands some 20 years ago to their current status as a mediocre franchise holding on by threads! There are way better fast food restaurants imo.

The cleanliness inside leaves much to be desired. Their bathrooms are always substandard, and the kids' playground is always dirty. So much so that the children come out with black hands and knees from the dirty jungle gym tower.

The other day, I tried the drive-through option. I had to ring a bell to get someone's attention. Then, after placing a basic order for 2 rib burgers , we ended up waiting 9 minutes (timed) at the service window for our food. Unacceptable by modern standards!

So overall, I am largely disappointed by what one of my favourite brands has become!

I would honestly give it pass and go somewhere else if you're thinking of having a take-out or even a sit down...

I had a disappointing experience with Joseph during my visit this past weekend. Unfortunately, his demeanor was less than welcoming, which set a negative tone for the interaction. The level of service was far below expectations.

At the drive-thru, there was no one at the window, and there were no signs or instructions for customers, such as directing us to the next window to place an order. This lack of communication was frustrating. Additionally, I received the wrong order, and when I brought it to Joseph’s attention, he mentioned there was nothing he could do to correct it.

As someone who is lactose intolerant, I was disheartened to learn that almond milk was not available, especially when I was expecting it to be offered. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and could have been handled much better.

I hope this feedback helps improve service...

The food was lovely, the trainee waitress was friendly and very helpful. The only reason I am giving this Wimpy a 3 star rating was due to the fact that I had to used the ladies restroom and I could not even enter the bathroom because of the urine smell, it was very overwhelming and it felt as if I couldn't breathe in the restroom, if I didn't urgently need to use the restroom I would not have entered it, this was obviously due to the restroom not being cleaned frequently. There were toilet paper balls thrown onto the ceiling of the restroom as well, I understand that this might not be the doing of the staff however I feel if you run a restaurant the restrooms has to be clean and tidy (without serious odours). But overall, Nicole, our waitress was very friendly and attended to our needs promptly...
