KFC Ferndale — Restaurant in Gauteng

I'm extremely disappointed. Waited for freshly prepared strios and dip item i saw being advertised.

For a less than 5mins drive home, its a total fail for me with such sloppy, dry and nowhere near anything resembling crispy strips. If KFC attempt was to capitalise on Popeyes market share of the best tasting strips, they have failed. Its like you wanting kfc and your parents say we have at home but nowhere near resembles what you saw and yiur eyes fell hungry for.

I will upload a pic of the sauces. Less than half per container. And 2 of the dark sauces tastes like pure chemical after taste. Its ridiculous. Absolutely not worth the spend.

Its like this branch does not care about good tasting chicken or feel that they don't need to care about quality to the customers they serve. Take a drive to KFC at Palm Court, Weltevreden park and their quality is absolutely consistent. Maybe the owners and cooked from Ferndale need to try out what proper kfc tastes like.

Also, if this is the consistency of KFC, they should stick to what they good at. Don't try to copy Popeyes. Even Cheekys make really good chicken strips. Whomever approved this additional to the menu as an idea was good, but didn't bother to quality check their final product.

Firstly we waited an hour in the driver thru for our food. We ordered three Boneless box meals which should've came with 3 dips but they did not include the dips AGAIN!!! This is not the first time this particular KFC has either given me an incomplete order or the incorrect order. The last time I came here I ordered a fully loaded box meal and got a crunch box meal instead!!! When i went back to exchange the order (at my own expense), the chicken breast was not properly cooked 😭 and i had now given up. They have very friendly staff🙂 but zero attention to detail. 1 mistake is understandable as we are all human but multiple mistakes shows me that there is no care. I'd like to assume that they have to double check that all the items in my order are there before handing the order to me. I was in a hurry and could not check my order at the KFC because I had to rush back to the office but I guess this location requires us to double check on our own before leaving... very disappointing service majority of the time from this KFC!!! Two bad experiences with KFC Ferndale ... Ordered online for delivery on 23/04/21; order never arrived. After 1hr of waiting, I contacted the store and customer services; at first no-one knew where the order had gone. After more waiting, I was told the driver had been at my place and there was no answer. But the CCTV camera watching my front gate said otherwise... 😒 Still have no idea where that food went.

Decided on 29/04/21 to try them again, this time visiting the store to order. Waited more than 30 min for a small order. Once home (5 min drive from the store), we found the food to be cold and my wife's sweet chilli twister was horrible. The lettuce was mostly brown and limp, and instead of golden crispy strips, it looked like an old, pale (i.e not deep-fried or even grilled) chicken breast that was cut into pieces and stuffed in the tortilla.
