My recent visit to Coppers Craft Bar and Grill in Bel Air was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Located with a beautiful view overlooking Northriding/Northgate, the restaurant boasts stylish decor and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great dining experience.

We started with the Cajun prawns and chicken tacos as appetizers, and I have to say the prawns were absolutely memorable - perfectly seasoned with just the right kick of Cajun spice that had us talking about them throughout the meal. The chicken tacos were equally impressive, fresh and flavorful. I paired these with their margaritas, which were expertly crafted and refreshing.

For our main course, we opted for the sirloin with chips, accompanied by a trio of sauces - mushroom, peri peri, and pepper. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, while the variety of sauces allowed us to customize each bite. The chips were crispy and golden, making for an excellent complement to the meal.

What truly elevated our evening was the exceptional service from our waiter, General. He was incredibly attentive throughout our visit, striking the perfect balance between being available when needed and giving us space to enjoy our meal. General was knowledgeable about the menu, enthusiastic about the restaurant's offerings, and made sure we felt well taken care of from the moment we sat down until we left.

The atmosphere deserves special mention - the music was at just the right volume, allowing for easy conversation without having to raise our voices. The view adds a lovely backdrop to the dining experience, and the overall ambiance makes it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.

With reasonable prices for the quality and portion sizes, Coppers Grill offers excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, attentive service, and a pleasant dining atmosphere in Bel Air.

The worst restaurant I've been to in South Africa, for so many reasons:

1. In the bathroom, the hand soap was empty.
2. In the bathroom, one of the hand dryers is literally over the sink. How are you supposed to use it if someone is using the sink?
3. Half the items on the menu were not available. They had a cocktail menu on every table but none of the cocktails were available, and several beers and food items weren't available either. When I mentioned this to staff, they didn't even remove the cocktail menus from the tables.
4. Our pizza was DRENCHED in oil. I dabbed it with a napkin to remove the oil and the napkin must have had 7 trillion calories on in. Our waiter, Patrick, didn't care -- he just took the napkin and walked away without saying sorry.
5. Our chips were literally freezing cold. Not cooked at all. Patrick the waiter again took the chips away and didn't say sorry.
6. When we brought up these issues to Patrick, he walked away. At this point I told another waitress she would be our waitress because I never wanted to talk to Patrick again. She was nicer, but still didn't offer an explanation for the cold chips or trillion-calorie pizza oil.
7. Manager came over and tried to chat and pretend like everything was OK. But the manager didn't actually promise to fix anything. She took the cocktail menu from OUR table but left them on every other table -- so every other customer would have the same problem as us -- ordering stuff that the restaurant didn't even have.
8. The management haven't even uploaded a photo of their menu to Google Maps. This is like the most basic thing any restaurant in the world does. PATHETIC.
9. They gave us 3 napkins for 2 people. You cannot divide 3 napkins evenly between 2. Give an even number like 4.

Always saw the place on tiktok through other people’s experiences and there were also bad reviews especially about food and I still came anyway to try out the place for the first time, I came alone to unwind, on arrival I asked for a table outside and after sitting there I was removed being told it’s reserved wheareas there was no sign and I couldn’t get any table outside and had to go sit inside which I accepted, the waiter was trying his best to make me comfortable however when he food I ordered came then I understood those bad reviews I’ve been seeing , Ordered Prawn and calamari pasta and it was so dry more like Dry spaghetti with few calamari’s and prawns and I told the waiter to return it to the kitchen to ask for a bit of sauce or somethin, it came back the same and that’s when I asked for the manager, she came and I just wanted to make her aware of the bad reviews and they probably didn’t get complains before but I needed it to be fixed cause that’s a nice place to chill at , She took the food to redo herself and oh man it was amazing , Thank you so much Thandi/Thandiwe for hearing me out and seein my...
