This was my second time visiting the restaurant and I thought it would be a better experience compared to my last visit 4 months ago. I cant say I'm completely upset, but I'm not excited about writing this review. My partner and I came to this restaurant for our Date Night ritual and coincidentally Wednesday 03 July was both his birthday and the Del Forno Date Night special. Great seating, pizza sized appetizers came out fairly quickly and we made our Date Night meal selection while having to ask/remind our waiter to please bring us the butter, chillie, garlic and parmesan for the bread, otherwise we would choke. We had lots to catch up on so we didn't mind the long wait until our mains came out. We had the same dish besides that my sirloin was requested at medium-well and his well-done. Upon placing the plates infront of us, at first glance I could see which one was mine because theres an immediate difference between the two, however these were swopped while plating. No sweat, we just exchanged steaks and carried on to enjoy our date night. We're both not big eaters but we at the same time, like a choir said "geez but this is small", I ordered a roast veg side, but I kid you not when i say that it was literally 1 broccoli, 1 cauliflower, 1 carrot, 1piece of green pepper and some strings of onion. My partner counted his chips and they were around 15 slim cuts. Fewer than what you'd find in a McD's kiddies meal. The steaks were so thin and small, that I could cover it with my hand and you wouldn't see it on the plate. Everything was drenched in oil and sometimes that can be overwhelming, but anyway we ate. Overall an underwhelming dish. The house wine was ok although our waiter couldn't tell me what was better to have with our meals, which I think are the basics of a good waiter for people who know nothing about wine. I then proceeded to tell the waiter that it was my partners birthday, she nodded happily and said "I'll organise his ice-cream and a birthday song". To say the least, none of that showed up even though she was at our table intermittently, we even went as far as paying the bill and she still said nothing. I wasn't going to desperately remind her of this but I truly wanted him to feel special. It was now time for our shared Desert (Malva pudding). To our surprise, the kitchen was out of custard and offered us ice cream instead. We agreed but that too was really disappointing because its not what we came for. Waiters took forever clearing our table with each course and it was a bit uncomfortable to have one of the managers going around recording the evening for socials I guess. Not sure if I'll ever come back but so far its been...
Read moreWe placed an order over the phone and were told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. When we arrived to collect, we were completely disappointed. The food looked unappetising and tasted even worse — honestly, it was terrible. Mind you, this was for my anniversary, and the meal completely ruined the moment. There was barely any sauce, no richness, and absolutely no effort put into the food. This is not the first time! The first time I ordered I thought maybe I just mad a bad choice but now it’s clear that this is how you operate. Clearly your food not worth even a single cent, because it tastes worse than the service from home affairs. I don’t understand how you can serve people such poor-quality meals. It’s unacceptable. Clearly, you only put effort into food and service for customers dining in, because what we received for takeout was disgustingly...

I visited the Delforno branch in Northriding with a colleague yesterday as a friend of mine has recommended the place, We had a heartly warming welcome with the friendly staff, the atmosphere was awesome with nice Jazz music playing not too loud.
We ordered our food as the waiter has informed us about the pasta special they were running even if we did not want to have pasta but we ended up having one
The restaurant was not full but you could see the take aways and delivery were quite busy, and we assumed that our orders might delay as the waiter has informed us intime and we understood .
When the food came it was totally out of the world presentation and the taste of the Bolognese was amazing and my friend ordered creamy chicken pesto, honestly it was worth a wait. I will recommend Delforno...
