Iāve been a client in this restaurant for the past 3 years or more .. I had a friend from Capetown coming to visit decided to take here to Fumo the service was appalling we waited more than 30minutes for tea which they got the order wrong , the sea food pasta flav were not balanced . I stoop Up from my chair whilst leaving the chair mistakenly hit the pot plant ..which resulted in hitting another patrons car .. I was treated as a CEO or someone whoās guilty no accountability from their end regarding how close or tilted the pot plant was even though it happened in their establishment, with their chair , their displaced pot plant instead the ā manager ā went inside the restaurant and came back with a disclaimer which wasnāt even put up or visible for control see ans stated that they are not responsible for any public liability.. I was soo disappointed! Embarrassing more than anything g especially after the incident and how I had spoken so well about the res to my friend what a shame and disgusting service the lady whoās vehicle was damaged was further told that its pro parking the irony is that the waiter direct every one whoās going Fumo to park there they encourage the paring to be used however when there is an issue they will pull up a disclaimer which wasnāt even mentioned or let alone visible or put up for such information..I am still traumatised by the reaction and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a shocker! I donāt even know where to start and wont recommend this restaurant at all⦠flies everywhere, I asked for some candles to burn and they had none or any alternatives. Food orders were incorrect, we received raw Kingklip twice, still frozen solid in the centre. The staff has no etiket or table manners, touched our food multiple times when brought to the table, just after she was standing outside scratching her hairā¦Dirty walls and floors, exposed cables and tiles falling. To put the cherry on the top, the waitress started presenting the menu to us and instead of recommending their speciality dishes, like one would expect, she just blurted āthis is where you will find starters, this is main meals and this is dessertā as if we cant readā¦
Terrible ambiance and music, felt like we were in a club, and this was 2pm on a Wednesday and most of the guests were families with kids, also not kid friendly. Opted for a pizza for one of the kids and asked for a Margherita with extra ham, the manager recommended the regina and just remove the mushrooms, which we were happy with only to find out that the first option would be more cost effective.
I recommend that you bring some drastic changes to staff and hygiene especially in a lovely place like The Village or move out and make place for a deserving restaurant.
Literally my WORST restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLeft feeling very annoyed with our waitress. The night was very nice and relaxing, the atmosphere was nice too. However, when we ordered the mozzarella balls starter, it was literally mozzarella in crumbs, it didn't come with all the salsa, Chilli, and glam that the menu boasts.
Furthermore for the mains, I ordered 200g steak with a side of salad. When the bill came, I was charged for 350g steak (much more than i was planning to pay) and there was R10 extra (more than the menu clearly states) for the salad I ordered.
When I addressed these issues with our waitress, she said they were out of 200g steak. Mind you, the steak was sliced up, not even a full piece. How is it possible that less meat is unavailable? I said this is unacceptable and furthermore she did not inform me that they would be charging for the 350g steak, she just did it. How unprofessional? I would comfortably have changed my order if I was informed. I shared some of my meal anyways as the steak was too much for me alone, although I was unaware of the reason.
The waitress confirmed that she would change the bill. When she came back, she only changed the R10 extra of the salad and left the steak charge as is. That was the charge that raised flags in the first place. I just paid and left, but will not support Fumo...
