Jo'Anna Melt Bar — Restaurant in Gauteng

Beautiful experience here just having good, clean fun. There's a jukebox which allows anyone in the Pub to play their choice of music for R5 a song. Some songs that have videos appear on the Pub's tv, but usually it's always on the Football channel. The Bartenders are a great foursome ... they work really hard to keep everyone happy and engage in a bit of small talk even when super busy. They deserve good tips/gratuity, which we were happy to give to the two that served us so well. Thank you Michaela and Francois (the other one). The beer was great and I'm an occasional Beer drinker, but I loved the no.3 Fransen Street. It's a good one. There was a small issue with the water not being available, but as the day progressed into night, they got water and we were able to use the restrooms and wash our hands. I was there last night after hopping around from place to place in Melville. When we got there we were more than happy to chill out at Jo'Anna for the rest of the night. It's a very lively bar with reasonable beer prices and beers on tap. The dance floor gets pretty cramped up but there more space the further you go inside. Bathrooms were okay, although one stopped working but it didn't create chaos in the ladies. The bar service was okay, nothing to brag about or be disappointed by. Not a bad place, serving some craft beers, a few normal brand beers, cocktails, etc. Typical of the Johannesburg cocktail bar style, it has a bar and a few seats, stylistically there is nothing extraordinary about the place. The prices are fair, not too expensive. I did, however, wish that the music was a little softer, but maybe I'm just getting old.
