McDonald's Meadowdale Mall — Restaurant in Gauteng

The place is not bad had a ok spot to sit and relax for a while but needs a little bit more fun to have at least there's a kids spot to hang with the kids while you get some food to eat. Would be nice if they sold some MC Donald's gift or merchandise to collect you can find some cool stuff as gifts from MC Donald's restaurants in online shopping pages and the prices are really affordable the the consumer. The only problem is MC Donald's in South Africa is a bit costly and can only be enjoyed when there's money in hand I remember in the 1998 when I first meet MC Donald's I could get a medium big Mac meal for R26.50c and ice cream cones where only 75 cents those days. Times change at least there's still MC Donald's restaurants around to enjoy let's hope they don't start selling alcohol in family restaurants this will give MC Donald's a lot of bad reports as it is a family place for everyone. Looking forward to my next visit let's hope the food will be as good as usual. We visit McDonalds at least once a week and recently have found the service and quality very poor over the last few weeks, sometimes we get missing items and now as at the last occurrence we got damaged items. So according to the staff , the cool drink machine wasn't working due to there being no water, and we ordered a sharebox meal which is supposed to come with 2 small and 2 regular drinks and if you add the ml vs the can size they provided it didn't add up and we were still asked to pay r3 extra per can due to it being coke, we asked for the manager to get clarity on why and the manager Anna didnt come she just asked the lady who takes the order to say that they are giving the 4 cans 2 substitute for the drinks. Never the less we brought the meals and drinks home and as we were driving we noticed that the 1 of the cans had a pinhole in it and was leaking and when we got home and opened it there was like quarter can which was absolutely flat. We spend an average of 300 to 500 a week at times here and expect to get good service and good food but as at recently this is really making me rethink our decision if we need to start visiting a different McDonalds because the service and quality is changing and not...

While the food is about the same as any McDs the service at this place is really pretty bad we have had orders come back wrong multiple times. Once got the order wrong 3 times as we sat there and when we asked them to correct it they would come back with the same item again and announce it the same way every time. I suspect they put the wrong order into the machine but it makes it difficult to change anything so they try to verbally communicate the mistake but since they are yelling from the different windows it causes a broken telephone issue. The staff always look tired and grumpy like they arn't happy to see you at all and the atmosphere is depressing. Im honestly concerned the staff are being treated badly and arn't being payed enough to deal with it.
