McDonald's Sunward Park Drive-Thru — Restaurant in Gauteng

On Saturday 24th of June 2023 I went to McDonald’s Sunward park Boksburg by Lifestyle centre,at around 20H30 waited in a drive thru line of which I was the second car from the car I already found ordering,I waited behind that car approximately 15 minutes before it was my turn. When I finally got a chance to order I was told they had no fries as I was ordering burger meals ,I was informed that their supplier hadn’t delivered,looking at the time I have waited before they could take my order I decided to proceed with my order with no fries.I placed an order for 1 Mcfeast along with watermelon Mcfizz and 2 grand chicken with watermelon Mcfizz ,a happy meal with coke and a plain sundae,processed to the next window for payment, a lady who was talking loud to her colleagues having a time of their lives paid no attention to me just made me pay and gave me my receipt,next window where I had to collect my food,I found a man who asked for my receipt ,and 2 passion fruit mcfizzes where already ready,he gave me the burgers and the passion fruit Mcfizzez .I told him that I had placed an order for Watermelon Mcfizz not passion fruit that’s when he informed me that they are out of watermelon Mcfizz I then asked why wasn’t I informed when I placed my order,he then answered me with no care that he doesn’t know,proceeded to give me the two passion fruit Mcfizz with my plain sundae that was very watery,and I stood there looked at him and told him I haven’t received all my order ,my one Mcfizz is still short he went back to look at the receipt and that’s when he gave me my last Mcfizz…..I just want to express my disappointment in the service received on that day and how the staff cared less about providing professional and excellent service hired to give out,they didn’t...

Went to collect food ordered online, to be told to go around the corner to a totally unmarked door because they weren't ready when we initially got there. Staff inside weren't at all interested in serving us, just go there and get your things, from an ill mannered person who struggled with fluent English.

....Response from them below, this is an edited review as response. I am not interested I receiving anything from you, even though you rudely state that you are not interested in offering anything. Great, keep it, but you seriously do not need to open with a rude statement like that. Furthermore, the link provided has a host of info and detail request but it gives an error, I cannot submit further details. Point is customer service is heinous, my daughter who went into the store to collect the order was victimized and made to feel extremely unwelcome, she was showed the way out the EMPTY store to a "collections room" which has zero signage, staff had no interest in assisting whatsoever, they just wanted her out of there, I will call it as it was, she was racially profiled by people with an extremely arrogant and hate filled attitude when she was polite and simply went into the store to collect a meal...

Whenever there are items that are unavailable or out of stock they're ordering machines never rely that message, and they don't even have a slight indication of how that item is out of stock even after you've paid, then you have to just take the alternative they offer you. Workers can be rude at times, occasional slow service. Only drive through employees are nice, eat in workers not so much. If they are having problems with stock they should change their supplier. Additionally, in my most recent order they hadn't informed customers that they did not have cold drinks(soda) so essentially we were forced to have orange juice. Poor service from this McDonald

Edit: 30 August 2025 Once again they don't have stock, are we surprised??? NOPE. This time the fam and I went to mcds to order a happy meal that came with a cheese burger, they said they were unable to make it, then we ask for a big mac inside, the drive through worker informed us that the supplier had not yet brought the stock to produce these items.
