Mugg & Bean Carlswald Lifestyle — Restaurant in Gauteng

The worst service at Mugg and Bean Carlswold. We were refused entry because We wanted to use our own sanitiser and not theirs . We were told We cannot gain entry if We do not use their sanitiser provided. This has never happened to us before, We work on the road with clients on a daily basis and follow all safety protocols, therefore we always have sanitiser with us. How is this not good enough? They use refill bottles , how do We even know what’s in their bottles. The manager was unprofessional and the waitress lied to the manager as to why we left. We came to Piatto in the same centre, we were welcomed and used our own sanitiser with no issues. A few minutes after we were seated, the manager of Piatto came over to tell us that Mugg and Bean phoned her to tell her that we left because we weren’t wearing masks and had no sanitiser which is not the case. We would not recommend this mugg & bean to anyone ….. We were made to feel so unwelcome. Like I mentioned earlier, we work on the road and dine at mugg and beans in the which ever area we are based for the day. WE WILL NEVER DINE AT ANY MUGG AND BEAN...

Wonderful Experience at Mugg & Bean, Carlswald Lifestyle Centre!

I recently visited the Mugg & Bean at Carlswald Lifestyle Centre and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal or coffee. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.

The food was delicious, with generous portions and a menu that has something for everyone. My order was freshly prepared and beautifully presented, and the coffee was exactly what I needed – strong, hot, and flavourful. I also loved the variety of options, from hearty breakfasts to light lunches and indulgent desserts.

Mugg & Bean Carlswald is an ideal spot for a quick coffee or a relaxing meal. Their excellent service, quality food, and cosy atmosphere make it a place I’ll definitely keep...

Today at the Carlswald branch of Mugg and Bean, I had the misfortune of being served by one passively aggressive Anele. Besides the fact that the restaurant was warm and dark inside and I was made to wait for a long time while the coffee was being brewed, this Anele lady finally rocked up with the coffee, no apologies nothing. She subsequently vanished until such time that I realized I just had to ask for the bill and go given the unpleasantness I was feeling. Anele never arrived until I decided to go infront at the cashiers to pay so that I can leave. Anele blurted something in Zulu to this effect " Kanti kwenzekalani ngalomama". I made it a point that I told her I had heard what she was saying. I advised her that I would report her. I paid and left the restaurant, what an experience, I have yet to experience...
