Went there for a breakfast meeting.. VERY QUIET,in being few customers. All were with laptops. The staff suddenly put loud music on??? I requested 3 times to lower the volume so I could hear my companion... request was ignored. This was before we even ordered. On top of that warm water and lemon is now charged at R15???? Companion ( business meeting) ordered rooibos tea, asked for honey and lemon A whole lemon was cut up in slices, Brought to table ( honey had to be asked for again) I then questioned if I could get hot water, would there be a charge No....so I used a slice of the lemon on table ??? Very confusing
Now it's not the money it's the stupidity. No one uses a whole lemon in rooibos tea - a slice. Same as hot water?? Now a restaurant CERTAINLY CANNOT RE-USE any fresh product once served on a table to another table?? What a waste. We decided not to eat due to BAD ATMOSPHERE,.

We asked the waiter, and he said it was the norm to charge for tap water with lemon slices and no honey. As a first occurrence for us, we advised him to notify customers beforehand. We enquired with the manager on duty and he advised that it will be R9 if honey is consumed as well. A few waiters were confused as they confirmed with their manager that they were charging their customers R9 for hot water with lemon slices. We appreciate that the manager acted on the situation and the necessary "fix of the situation" was done. The manager assured that the misunderstanding would be rectified accordingly with his staff.

Read moreWe visited this branch early morning on mothers day when the restaurant was still fairly quiet. Despite our waiter being really warm and friendly, we barely saw him. The service was slow. The cutlery and crockery were dirty. When we eventually managed to flag the manager down to get the bill, his response to the mediocre service was "oh, that's okay", to which we all sat there in disbelief that he could be so flippant about a customer complaint. He then attempted to apologise as we were leaving without even enquiring as to what the problem was which means that there's no intention to fix the issues.
