This specific Nando's at Newmarket is the only one worth rating out of all the different ones I've been to before. The reasons for my rating of 5 stars: I was greeted in a friendly way and welcomed while I decided what to order from the menu. The question I had regarding the order was answered in a clear, helpful and friendly way. I noticed the unique look of the inside when I took a seat at a table (which just add to why I'm impressed) I found it very beautiful and inviting. My order was accurately taken down from the start with no errors which is an absolute first for me. The table was clean, and there were no fast paced atmosphere found in other fast food restaurants when you sit down to eat. The food was prepared with very short waiting time and looked amazing too. I noticed the roll that came with the order and the ice cream I ordered wasn't there and when I asked the staff member immediately corrected it and apologized. She also explained that the ice cream she kept in the freezer for me to take when my son was done eating so it wouldn't melt and she didn't forget about it. That showed me she care about customers. The roll was brought to me with another apology. I didn't even see any need for any apology though. The food was really good. The inside very beautiful and remarkably clean. The restrooms were also very clean. Upon leaving the ice cream was taken out for my son without me having to ask for it. If I was asked the following, my answers would be: Am I impressed with Nando's? - I am impressed with SPECIFICALLY the Nando's at Newmarket. Did I have any problems? Not at all. Infact, unlike other fast food restaurants, I received phenomenal service. What was my overall thoughts? It's the most unique looking Nando's and much care is put towards maintaining it from the outside to the inside. The staff is well trained in their different job positions and very helpful and friendly. It didn't even seem like a Nando's but more like an actual restaurant where you are served an able to enjoy yourself. I can say this with honesty... Should I be as far as 40 km away from Newmarket in Alberton and there's a Nando's 2 km from where I am, I will drive the 40 km and support the one in Newmarket despite the closer one. VERY impressed and will absolutely recommend Nando's at Newmarket to anyone looking for a good fast food restaurant. As for me, I'm contemplating to work out my budget in such a way to be able to visit there once a week every week lol!!! I attached some pictures...

I have been a loyal customer of Nando's ever since it opened in the new market, and I have always enjoyed their flavorful meals and friendly service. However, my recent experience at the drive-through left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
When I arrived at the drive-through, I was surprised to find it closed with a few cones blocking the entrance. However, I noticed that there were two individuals who had managed to place their orders. Confused, I decided to go inside the restaurant and inquire about the situation.
An employee approached me and casually informed me that they were closed and suggested I return in 30 minutes. I couldn't help but feel a sense of injustice since I had witnessed others being served. At that moment, a stranger who had overheard our conversation stepped forward, laughing, and proudly showed me his order slip. He advised me not to tolerate such treatment and encouraged me to go inside and place my order regardless.
Feeling supported by this stranger's words, I decided to proceed and placed my order. However, throughout the entire process, it became apparent that the management at this specific Nando's location was lacking. The employees seemed disinterested and showed a lack of respect for the customers.
As a long-standing customer, I firmly believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy. Regardless of the circumstances, it is the responsibility of the employees to provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, this particular visit to Nando's left me with the impression that the management of this store is absent or ineffective.
Despite this disappointing experience, I will continue to be a Nando's customer as I have always enjoyed their delicious meals. However, I sincerely hope that the management of this specific Nando's location takes immediate action to address these customer service issues. Every customer should feel valued and appreciated, and it is crucial that the employees are trained and encouraged to uphold these standards.

Read moreOn the 27 August I went with my wife and 3 month daughter at approximately 18H30 to Nandos. I was harassed in the parking lot by a want to be car guard with a vest Fireman written at the back of it. At the door I was also asked for money by a lady with a baby on her back. I ignored her and he said something rude and aggressively towards me. I chose to ignore him. They must have been a couple as they at times walked together as I took a window seat to watch my car out of fear it might be damaged by them. They continue begging at cars that was using the drive thru. Sadly it was noticed by Nandos staff and nothing was done about it. Sadly I would not be returning there as I fear for my families safety and management done nothing to ensure their customers are not harassed or intimidated in their parking area.
