La Parada Newmarket Lifestyle Centre — Restaurant in Gauteng

I visited La Parada on March 24, 2025, with my family to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. First, the service was a major letdown. We encountered numerous issues with our drink orders. After multiple attempts to order, we were informed that several of our drink choices were out of stock. My husband’s orders were the most frustrating – his first, second, third, and even fourth choices were unavailable, leaving him with nothing to drink. This was incredibly disappointing, especially when we had been hoping for a relaxing, enjoyable meal. The frustration over the drinks made us hesitant to proceed with our lunch order, as we feared further letdowns. When the drinks did arrive, they were underwhelming. My son ordered a pina colada, and I was shocked by its lack of effort in presentation. A dehydrated lemon garnish is far from what one expects at a cocktail of this price. It was a missed opportunity to make the drink feel special. I ordered a tequila-based cocktail, and while it wasn’t quite as disappointing in flavor, the presentation was just as lackluster. The glass wasn’t even properly cleaned, which gave the entire experience an unpolished feel. To be blunt, this was not the birthday celebration I had envisioned. The lack of attention to detail and the poor service really overshadowed any positive aspects. For a restaurant that we had heard good things about, it fell far short of expectations. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won’t be returning to La Parada, nor can I recommend it to others. It’s clear that there’s a disconnect between the restaurant’s potential and the execution, and I hope they take the necessary steps to improve both their service and their presentation...

I was served by Charlene firstly her energy is to die for her aura was the best to be around she spoke so well and represented the company too good I was taken away by her hospitality and efficient service.I told her I was going to do one when I get home well here am I let’s start with food it came on time and we didn’t wait too long she kept refilling our drinks we never had to ask for anything she paid attention to detail changed my glass and made sure the food was to my expectation.Atmosphere was very refreshing the staff was helpful and friendly right from the door I was met by smiles and great laughter it felt as if I had known them for a long time then came Charlene very charming very hands on and very professional made sure we were comfortable and right from there went above and beyond for us if I could I would literally steal her like what the service I had never been that wined and dined treated like kings and Queens she was very patient even when the table infront us gave her tough time she still kept the enthusiasm and aimed at great service I was impressed I was made to feel special LAPARADA DID SOMETHING WITH THIS YOUNG LADY . My birthday the best day ever thank you laparada more especially thank you Charlene you are a star the best at what you do don’t ever doubt yourself continue giving great service and being authentic self I’m definitely coming back for HER the food and the vibes...

I recently dined at La Parada and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening.

The staff were equally impressive, Nondumiso tended to our needs, what a lovely lady. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. They made excellent recommendations and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It was clear that they took pride in their work, and their professionalism added a special touch to the evening.

The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect – elegant yet cozy, with a great vibe that made the evening even more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends, this is the place to be.

Overall La Parada exceeded all my expectations. The combination of outstanding food, impeccable service, and a lovely atmosphere makes this restaurant a true gem. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch...
