Disappointing and horrible chicken livers. Did they just use brown sauce? I want peri-peri, tomatoey, oniony, rich, and flavourful. Instead a got a salty old brown boring gravy with olives. Someone else ordered a breakfast that came with rye bread because that's what she felt like but it arrived with panini or some other white bread ~ when queried, the reply was "we've run out of rye". Then please inform the customer before going ahead. Service in this place is pretty bad generally.

Afterwards, at the bakery section, wanted sweet potato biscuits, but there was one sitting there all burnt and black. So I bought de natas and the last star sponge. The de natas were delicious, but the sponge tasted like it was a week old. Please, if your food is burnt or not fresh then take it off the shelf and don't try and sell it at full price. That is just not fair to customers.

It was my birthday. We decided to try Princesa. I am very sadly disappointed. I ordered a caipirinha. It tasted awful. Like sour lemon in iced water. The manager was good. He took it back, and I was scared to be adventurous, so I ordered an old favorite . The food was below par. We sat upstairs thinking we would have a view. The waitresses are all downstairs and come periodically upstairs to see if anyone wants something to eat or drink. I ordered the grilled calamari. The food arrived cold and was unappealing and unappetizing. It was rubbery and tasteless. I decided that I had complained once and didn't want to complain again, so I tried to eat a little. Even the sauces provided didn't improve the taste. We left at around 16.15, and the closed sign was already on the door. They close at 18.00. unwelcoming service I come here as they have authentic Portuguese food, I have been coming to this coffee shop for many years now.
