Common areas are clean, but the rooms are filthy. The room I reserved had dirt and dust all over the floor. They said the room had been vacuumed earlier in the day, but I really doubt it. PS I'm not a clean freak. The dirt was plain to any eye.
There is also a moisture issue as the entire area is infested with mosquitoes. This is evident from the moisture scuffs on the walls.
I got to the residence on Friday afternoon. Paid the gentleman, Gavin, R1800.00 for three days, however I had the most miserable stay and decided to leave on Friday night to sleep at a relative. This meant that I did not spend a single night at the motel.
I had an emergency situation on Friday night with other residents at the motel and called Gavin to find out what the security procedure is, to my surprise he was upset why a guest in his guesthouse is calling him at 22.20pm. Thanks for the hospitality Mr Hospitality Manager!
I returned the next morning to ask for a refund. He refused to meet me.
R1800.00 GONE!!!!! Worst guesthouse experience I have ever had and will discourage anyone I know from staying here. The area is dodgy and the guests...
Read moreAccommodation & our stay here was lovely & safe! We stayed here for a week in Jan. in the 8 sleeper, consisted of 2 big rooms (double bunk & 1 big bed with en-suite) & (1 big bed & 1 single with en-suite). Both rooms walk out into communal self-catering kitchen. There are cupboards with crockery, cutlery & pots, but you can also collect utensils from the main house. We ordered breakfast one morning as we wanted to leave early. Definitely NOT worth it, as there's only 1 cook, so we each waited for our orders to arrive (1 by 1) & she took long preparing. There's a good size pool, which is advertised as heated (UNTRUE), LUCKILY we were there & weather was pleasant enough to swim, but water is COLD! Also advertised is a jacuzzi (AGAIN UNTRUE)! There's a gym, sauna, a small kids play area, an undercover, chill area with couches & braai area (all outside). Will...
Read moreThe room that I was given was a "log cabin"; comfortable but missing a few elements. I was told the establishment was full, so didn't consider asking for another room. It was too far from a good WiFi signal, the shower leaked and the ceiling had sagged in one spot. The bedding and towels were crisp and clean. Staff were friendly and polite as well, and Gavin the proprioter is very friendly and chatty. Breakfast was a bit of a mixed bag, with cutlery and plates not laid out for the continental breakfast part, and no mugs to help yourself to coffee which is the norm in most spots. It may not have been self service, but no one was forthcoming with a welcome and a host service to take your order. Breakfast however was very tasty and good value for money. A one night stay is fine, and it's close to a major...
