I have now been to Ribs & Burgers 5+ times.. I kept going back for the great food.. but the service has just let me down and yesterday was my final straw, hence my review. My first time we redeemed our free burgers via the app, we then ordered 2 steak and egg meals and the 2 for 1 cocktail special. After our meal, we then get told we can't put it on the same receipt because there's 2 specials now. I mean honestly, I was highly upset by this, how do you not first tell us that this will be a problem, you tell us after our meal. Eventually they allowed it. Anyway I then go and rave about how good and crispy and round these onions rings are.. so I take my mum because she loves onion rings, just to get a soggy, floury mush of onion rings. When I asked why there's such a huge difference, I was told it's because there's a different fryer today. I mean surely you train your staff to be consistent in what you serve to customers or have quality checks. Then I go a few more times and even though I always give my number on the app for points, I notice my points are still not being added. I tell this to the manager, and there's nothing he can do, he expected me to remember the exact dates and times I've come in, I then started waiting for my points to show before leaving. Which brings me to yesterday, I have now accumulated 21000+ points and my nephews and niece still had their free burgers on the app. I first ask, can we sit down, we want to ask redeem points, because we have heard the app will be gone by September. We get told they need to ask, after asking we are told yes we can and we go and sit. I then get told by a different person that now he needs to also go ask. To be told we can sit but only if we all order things that we need to pay for. I tell him I want to use all my points because it's going to expire. He just says no sorry that's how it is. I then say fine we'll just do takeaways. I then tell him I want to get the burger and I can either get 2 milkshake or 2 chips, then to be told I can only redeem one thing at a time, I'll have to come again another time. Iasked why do you not have these terms and conditions put up, he again went to go ask and still the answer was no. Anyway, point is I'll not go back again and I'll stop telling people to go and start telling them about the uselessness of how the place is run. I never thought that anyone would ever rival ribs or wings I've had in any of the fine dining or casual dining restaurants I've been too,but this place exceeded all of them in every way possible,a great little place to try out if you haven't !!!
●ATMOSPHERE (The decor was very modern and great,I did not expect the restaurant to look as sleek as it did,everything from the music to the vibe in the restaurant was the perfect setting)
●SERVICE (Service was perfect and couldn't fault it,we were checked on a total of 7 times by the manager and even tho the restaurant was packed to the brim,the food came out really fast and hot,a really great service from everyone involved)

Read moreWe initially fell in love with Ribs and Burgers in Edenvale, not just because of their good food but also due to their excellent service. With our frequent visits, we got to know the staff and especially the store owner/manager, Anton, very well. I always admired him for being so involved on the floor, ensuring that patrons were satisfied.
Imagine my delight when Ribs and Burgers Town Square in Alberton opened up, right on our doorstep. We had a bit of a “hiccup” during our first visit two weeks ago with the service we received, so we left a complaint. I was surprised when I received a call from none other than Anton himself, who is now responsible for their Alberton franchise (also known as the Master Butcher). He was eager to understand what happened and, without making any excuses, provided context about the circumstances that led to our experience that day.
Anton invited us back, and together with all the staff, gave us a truly wonderful experience—probably the best food I’ve ever had at any restaurant! The ribs, the chicken, that special coleslaw salad… everything was mouthwatering!
