Where to start? Went to RocoMamas Irene Mall last night with the intent on having some great burgers and service as in the past. What a disappointment. The place had less that 50% occupancy, and more waiters than patrons to boot. Sat down, ordered some drinks and then the food. After an hour of NOTHING, I went inside to investigate if the grills were actually working or not. People next to us ordered after us and had already finished their food and left by this time. During this time the waiter came and collected the empty glasses without even asking if we would like to have another round. Then eventually the food came. What a disappointment………. The burgers were as cold as they came out the fridge. The fries I personally saw the waiter take two packets of what I believe to be an uncollected counter order for take away from the till counter and dump that into the little baskets. Ice cold, REALLY. The rest of the chips, aka Chilli Cheese never even featured on our table. Went to call the manager as no human can force down food that have presumably been standing out in the cold for more than an hour. The manager initially refused to touch the food to feel for himself how cold the burgers etc. was, but eventually convinced him to do so. He did offer to re-fire the burgers, but with the shop closing at 11PM they would not make it in time for me to have dinner there. ABSOLUTE disappointment. Read moreOrdered food at 19:00 from uber. Uber said there was a delay and preparation would take longer then normal. Estimated delivery time was set for 19:25 it the kept moving all the way to 21:05. At 20:45 it sated the driver was picking it up. 21:50 i called Rocco Mamas to find out whats happening. They said the Uber driver canceled the order and it had been sittimg there since 19:15. So my question tiom is this..... The whole 2 hours of it sitting there Rocco mamas never once thought lets contact the client and explain what is happening or be concerned that food is sitting there for 2 hours and thats a bit odd. I understand Uber eats is a third party i am using. But not once did you think this food is sitting her for 2 hours and that we should Contact uber or the client and say the food has been sittong here. The worst part this is not the first time i have has problems with Roccos mamas irene. I have ordered a custard shake before with my meal. And it didnt come with my order and when i called to find out where it is that it got left behind. And they are not paying for it to be redelivered. Then we ordered food and we didnt recive something we ordered. Think its was some shake again cant really remeber. But because they had bo more and once again didnt state it or let me Know. Read moreAs much as it pains me to leave a bad review of one of my favorites restaurants, I can't leave this hanging.
After getting our order wrong, my whole order came while my wife's order was being fixed. Instead of waiting for both orders to be ready and then serving two warm dishes, this didn't happen.
My wife's burger took 15 minutes to arrive, but there were no chips with it as per our order. The waiter said they're still waiting for the fries and left.
The manager came once to ask if everything is fine and then didn't show face again.
After watching two other tables get their chips and finishing both our burgers we went to ask for our bill because our waiter was walking around seemingly avoiding our table. This was easily another 10 - 15 minutes after my wife's burger arrived.
After asking to cancel the chips and to get the bill it looked as if the waiter and two other employees were arguing about cancelling the chips and providing our bill.
After 7 minutes our bill finally arrived with a half apology from the waiter's side, and still no sign of the manager.
I've had nothing but good experiences at your other branches, but this one definitely left a sour taste...
