RocoMamas Kempton Park — Restaurant in Gauteng

The home of the original smash burger. Who doesn't like Rocomamas? It's always been one of my longtime favourites. I honestly didn't know there was another branch close to me and I am happy to have discovered it. Situated quite easily off Monument and Dann Roads, with ample parking and a great open space too. Staff and management are very hands on and attentive. Special mention to our waitress Louise who was an absolute ROCKstar, with such a great sense of humour, she can definitely get you to order everything off the menu if you are hungry 😂.

To start we had the Mixed 6 Bombs (Chilli Cheese, Feta and Jalapeno) with Mofo Mayo (I am still scarred by the mofo wings so that's a NO NO for me, the Mofo Mayo I can handle the heat) and the Smashbrew Onion Rings. You know I gotta have my Onion Rings 😍 Crisp and flavourful, and the bombs had just enough kick to it to compliment the cheesy goodness. Another thing I pleasantly discovered to quench my thirst, was the extremely delicious and chilled @Rekordelig drink? I had the Strawberry/Lime flavour and it really was refreshing. Definitely keeping my eye out for that in future and to try the other varieties too. Off to a great start, what to order next.

Although they have their current "Bad Boys" promo Burgers there is also the new SmashMac's on the menu that I've been eyeing out on social media. How do you choose? You dont, you order both and taste each one. We took the Burnett Burger and SmashMac. The burger was - Southern Fried Chicken, Swiss Cheese, Bacon, Shack Sauce, Pickles, Rocoyellow Mustard with fries on the side. The flavour combo is fantastic and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The SmashMac is a mouthful. It starts with a layer of Mac 'n Cheese, topped with 2 x 100g Beef smash, American cheese, Guacamole, Nacho Crumbs, Salsa and Smoked Mayo. It's got a bit of everything in each bite, juiciness, tender beef, crunchy, spicy. I loved it, except the Smoked Mayo. Personally the next time I would rather opt for the Mofo Mayo, the smokiness just kills the taste for me.

I was defeat, I couldn't finish it so I took the balance in a takeaway, and Louise made sure I kept a space for some Waffles. Out comes this glorious looking waffle drenched in Nutella, topped with Ice Cream and Bananas. Any new years resolutions went straight out the door.

We rolled out of there we were so stuffed. I am so glad the past few branches I've been too have kept up the standards. A while back I was starting to despair. Thanks to Andre and Chris as well for taking good care of us.

Ps. Did you know Roco's now sells the @Beyond Meat burger? Thanks but I'll stick to my Original beef smash for now.

Me and my friends are regulars here and we're never dissapointed. The food is always above expectations, the service is incredible and the management is always present. The staff is mostly friendly and food never takes too long to arrive.

Rocomamas is a well run and managed restaurant having worked there myself. The standard is always high and this makes the above average pricing acceptable. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to eat alone or go out with friends.

It must be added that there isn't a wide variety of vegetarian or vegan dishes. They mostly serve ribs, wings, burgers and chips (The way I like it)

In questo ristorante que funziona anche da asporto si può mangiare le più buone hamburger che da tempo non mangiavo, hanno una svariata selezione di esse, e le salse e carni e formaggi sono di ottima qualità e squisiti. Hanno ovviamente anche le patatine e altri accompagnamenti cone le palle di formaggio in sapori diversi. Le patatine sono la cosa più squisita che hanno e non ne lasciavo neanche una nel contenitore. L'attenzione è ottima, sorridenti e premurosi. L'insieme mi ha fatto decidere di mangiare da loro per ben tre volte delle 5 sere che sono stato nel luogo.

PS.: Voglio che si capisca bene perché ho dato le 5 stelle: La prima sera, ho pensato che fosse come i soliti posti di fast food, ossia io scelgo dal tavolo della reception e poi decido io se mangiare li o a casa. La mia intenzione era mangiare in loco ma avendo visto che hanno preparato in sacchetto di asporto era ovvio che sarei andato all'albergo a mangiarlo cosa che non volevo e come ho visto che avevano la Sidra e l'ho chiesta mi hanno detto che dovevo berla nel loco e quindi mi sono preso un tavolo e ho mangiato li. Il gestore mi ha guardato e mi ha sorriso e il ragazzo che stava sistemando e pulendo mi ha detto prego faccia pue. Poi ho capito che avevo fatto uno sbaglio vedendo altri che sono entrati, ma hanno accettato ciò che ho fatto senza discussione e con addirittura un "prego faccia pure" Questo si chiama: saper attendere alla perfezione a un cliente! E già questo vale tutto, ma a questo si sonma il fatto della gentilezza e sorriso di tutti i lavoratori presenti. Li ho osservati. E non finisce qui: ho chiesto nelle tre sere tre diverse hamburger non speziate per capire bene il loro sapore, e devo dire che erano ottime veramente, i sapori erano delicati e facevano perfettamente distinguere le diverse cose di cui era composta l'hamburger e questo è difficile perché solitamente le salse coprono il sapore anche della carne facendo di essa un tutt'uno, mentre invece qui ho potuto sentire il sapore di ogni cosa e le salse usate facevano arrichire ed esaltare il loro sapore. Per tutto questo non posso non dare le 5 stelle, che rispetto sono meritatissime. Grazie per accogliere a uno straniero in un modo così calido!. Mi dispiace di essere adesso così lontano e non poter godere nuovamente della vostra cucina. Vi auguro tante cose belle...
