Yesterday we decided we'd get pizzas for dinner. Well let me tell you what a huge disappointment it was. I don't have high expectations for anything in Pretoria but this place really sucks. I have had on more than one occasion very bad service. The staff don't know that there are specials running. They'll go so far as to tell you there are no specials but when you look just outside the door there is a huge sign that says specials. Maybe they aren't educated. Who knows. Yesterday they got the order wrong. We ordered in store. So there shouldnt be any confusion but yet their lack of enthusiasm and the way they click their tongues and suck back the words like they're trying to stop a slime ball from exiting their mouth is just amazing (sarcastic). They wanted to redo one of the pizzas but that wasnt acceptable because one would then be soggy and mushy by the time we got home. So we insisted that make new ones. After they huffed and puffed and spoke in their language and had the manager tell them to redo it...they did. Now my understanding is that we would get 2 new pizzas. So either they didnt do as we asked which was our right as paying patrons or they rushed our new pizzas because they were the worst tasting pizzas I've ever had. My pizza was raw in the middle. Doughy. Not just a little but alot. I ate a piece before I realized this. I left the rest. I felt very sick afterwards not from the doughyness but I think from the actual pizza. I wanted to throw up. I think they put something on that pizza after we complained because I really felt unwell. It was slimy and raw. I will report this to the provincial health department because I seriously believe that the staff didnt do their jobs and neither did the manager. Someone will get fired and if I have anything to say about it I will have this branch turned upside down and closed down. I am sick and tired of useless people getting jobs and then treating paying customers like they're a nuisance. Send that staff for customer care courses or hire educated people who can do a job and dont stand there clicking their tongues and picking their noses. I hope no one else got sick. We waited over 40 minutes for takeaway pizza. I could've just aswell gone to a restaurant if I wanted to sit that long for food. Please remove those pictures because it truly is false advertising.    Read moreI placed an order at the Rietfontein Romans Pizza branch at 18:46 on the 28th of August 2020 (order number 390). An SMS was sent to me indicating that the order will be ready to be delivered to my home in 25 minutes.
At 19:57 I phoned the branch to establish were my food was. The lady was at first unable to tell me were my order was and she informed me that she could not state if my order has even left the shop or not. After questioning her she was able to suddenly tell me my order was still being prepared and will be ready in 5 min.
At 20:19 I tried to phone the branch again as still nothing was delivered, however no answer from their side.
At 20:26 the driver phoned that he was here with the delivery, however just to find that no one was outside my house. I phoned the driver back and he informed me it was the wrong house. 5 min later the food arrived.
After all this the order was wrong with the following:
Food was ice cold. The Pizza pies ordered was wrong and they did not give the correct pie flavours but once we did not order. The sauce for the salads were wrong. The pizza pie dough was extremely salty and the dough was elastic like. The Bread Loaf was burned.
This the most pathetic service I have ever experienced from any Romans...

All calls are answered within 2 rings, always get competent operators, rarely needs to repeat anything to operators, has always received exactly what we ordered, never had to wait longer than 5 min once we arrive on busy nights - mostly barely had time to warm such seat given by Romans Pizza,
Nobody should need to complain, rate or comment on "atmosphere" at businesses - like Roman's - where it's N/A... As Personal Google Contributor, we should be able to mark such sub-stared categories as N/A and that category should not affect the overal ratings of this business...
The seating available are mostly intended to seat customers awaiting their take away order. I'm sure some might decide to use such seating to then eat their pizza or pasta, but no atmospheric ambience should be expected at any waiting seating area. Infact: to be given an option of sitting down at all, is a bonus...
