Spoorloos Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Gauteng

In our continuous mission to #SupportLocal we recently discovered another spot right on our doorstep that opened only a few months ago - Spoorloos Pub & Grill

It's situated inside Summerplace Restaurant Boksburg, and to be honest it was so depressing collecting our food and not sitting there enjoying the beautiful gardens on that sunny day having a drink. Alas, once the lockdown is over.

Anyway we placed an order for the family for the following: •The Starter Snails in a creamy garlic cheese sauce with toasted garlic •The Jalapeno Poppers filled with cream cheese crumbed and deep fried. •The Crumbed Mushrooms with Tartare sauce •BBQ Pulled Pork Burger with Pineapple •Steak Roll with Cheese and Caramelized Onions and Milho frito. •Nacho Chicken Burger with Onion Rings • Half Chicken and Chips. •Spoorloos Cheese Burger and Chips

So basically we had most of the menu 🤣🤣🤣. Everything was cooked well, my steak was soft, the crumbed Mushrooms and Jalapeno Poppers were great. The Chicken was cooked and flavoured properly. Snails were yummy.

They really packed the food to keep warm as they put it in foil and then in the containers, I think they can do without the foil as the steam just made the onion rings and chips etc soft.

On collection it was so nice to be greeted by a warm and friendly welcome from Annene. Thank you so much for the food and great service. Hope more people come to place orders to keep you guys on the right "track"...

We've been here 3 time before in the past 6 months. Really enjoyed it. Went there tonight for a family members birthday. Wow what a disappointment! Music excessively loud, we had to shout at each other to speak! They turned the lights down, we couldn't read the menu! Waiter new, very polite but didn't know what to do! We placed our order He bought out the mains first, and then the starters 2 minutes later!! And a waitress (we've seen her before) that helped him bring the food just shook her head, why not tell him what he was doing wrong! We had to rush down the starters while our mains were getting cold.!! We had to clear our plates off the table ourselves to make room. Not lekker! We felt so bloated and just didn't want to eat any more. He never came and asked us if everything was OK. Food for 1 person (the birthday boy) was terrible, burnt and missing an item. Clearly No Managers in sight like last time, and it really felt like we were in a seedy nightclub. We won't be coming back...

If I could I would give this place 0 stars. And I regret ever going there. I stated more than 7 times that I am a vegetarian as I want to make sure the restaurant know about my dietary requirements so I can have a good experience without the worry that I would receive any food containing meat, I was WRONG. They gave me samosas that was supposed to be cheese and corn but was ham and cheese, when I asked the waitress she apologised and said that she would take the dish back and bring me vegetarian replacements that ended up having 3 chicken nuggets in the dish, by then I had taken a bite and had to spit the food out . I was and still am mortified. It feels like the restaurant was doing it on purpose and I have never cried so much or have had such a bad experience in my life. I cannot eat meat because of the harm it causes my body, I cannot digest meat and so I was forced to throw up over and over again and went to the hospital. I will never go back again or recommend...
