⚠️SUCH A RUDE MANAGER. PAY MIND TO THIS BEFORE GOING TO TASOS!!!!!!!!⚠️

So my friends and I went in and we got a table at the bottom. There after we asked if we could move to the top because we really liked the atmosphere from there. I then informed the manager that we were moving, and asked if he could please find someone to attend to us up there, because he said the waiter at the top and bottom differ. We didn’t have a problem. We then had to wait about 30 minutes to get attended to, at this time we were thirsty and no one offered us any drinks as per menu. I then had to go up and down searching for a waiter, and mind you a lot of them were just standing there. I then confronted the manager and he said he will take care of it. He then came up to where my friends and I were sitting and he started speaking to us in a very rude manner, as females he really made us feel less then, knowing very well he was in the wrong. How are we as customers wrong for asking for attendance, a simple glass of water they could not give.

The manager really made the whole experience unsettling for us … and mind you I only received my food an hour after I ordered it. And it really was not that full. A lot happened and maybe it was a misunderstanding. But one thing the manager was very wrong for was making me feel like nothing.

I am very disappointed in the service I received. I do not recommend that you go there if you want to have a nice time. Because how am I not allowed to complain. It made me question if it was because of my race as a young black female.

Please do better as a restaurant. I have worked in such an environment I really understand how much of a mission it can be. But as workers learn to be calm and patient and also learn to take access and move on. Because no one put a gun to your head to apply for the job. Learn to do things with joy. Because at the end of the day it is a job that you applied for.

Oh I almost forgot. My comments on the food. The food isn’t horrible. I really lost my appetite to order more. Because they do take long and I just lost my appetite so I only had starters, which were chicken livers. I got a good portion but then here comes more problems. I ordered chicken livers and then they added an extra plate of bread. I then asked the waiter who they were for and he said me, I then said no I didn’t order these, it was an extra 15 rand. Of which I was not told considering I didn’t order it. But I made peace with it because honestly all I wanted at that point was to eat and go home. That’s how badly the manager ruined my day.

Michaela has been the worst manager so far. I enjoy the environment here. However, on two separate occasions she's has been nothing but rude and condescending towards us, first occasion (7th of August) she dropped a knife on me while taking the plates from our table, leaving a stain on a white sweater I was wearing, she didn't apologize for that incident she just joked about it instead saying "atleast it didn't stab you on your heart, that's what I care about". I let that slide.

Second incident, which was a day after the first one. I reminded her about the first incident and she said "It's round 2". I ordered mashed potatoes, which tasted bland she (Michaela) came and made this off-putting remark "You know how restaurants are; the potatoes you're eating today are the same ones you ate yesterday, we just heated them up and served them again" I mean why would a manager say such a thing? I'll be surprised if I go back there and she's still there or haven't received proper training on handling customers owh and she wasn't wearing a mask this whole time. It's unfair on more qualified personnel and the mere fact that she too cool to apologize just proves that she has an ego she's protecting and she'd rather lose customers over her ego. She's not fit for that position at the moment, hence for the business. I'll be visiting as often as possible just to see if she's still there.

Had drinks with my friend here, she recommended this place as she was pleased with the ribs the last time she went here. Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the waiters and he directed us to our preferred table. He gave us the menu and we never heard from him again. In fact, a good 15 minutes of us talking and realising the waiter never came back. We signalled for another waiter to get us the guy that seated us and he was also just touch and go with us. Finally after about another 10 minutes, I signalled for another waiter, the white guy to assist us and he did. He further apologised on the behalf of the other waiter that dropped us and by the time we had a waiter we were told the kitchen is closed. You can imagine my frustration but the waiter said he will do his best for them to take our order. We got our food, the food here is okay. I did not enjoy the ribs as much as my friend had hyped it, nothing different about them, matter fact there was less meat and mkre bone. I had ordered a steak, it tasted decent even though it was a bit medium to well whereas I had ordered medium. The cocktails we drank were fine I guess. The ambiance here is chilled, I think I did not enjoy it as much due to the service we received upon arrival even though our new waiter was kind enough to assist us.
