Turn ʼn Tender Steakhouse — Restaurant in Gauteng

Thoroughly disappointing experience from start to finish. Despite my specific order for a rib eye steak off the bone, I was served one on the bone. While I understand that the waiter was a trainee, this oversight significantly impacted my dining experience, the subsequent events were far from satisfactory. After sending back the steak and requesting a rib eye steak off the bone, (I would’ve continued eating my steak if it wasn’t as tough to cut). I received what tasted like sirloin, and to my dismay. The texture of the meat was incredibly tough and hard, unlike any rib eye steak I've ever encountered. Following my complaint about the second steak, instead of addressing the issue with empathy and professionalism, the white manager decided to engage in an argument with me. He asserted that ordering rib eyes cooked medium rare was inappropriate. I vehemently disagreed, emphasizing that I've never encountered such poor quality at a Hussar Grill down the road just opposite them. They can definitely go “vang a few tips there” It's evident that this specific Turn & Tender lacks the necessary expertise in selecting and preparing quality cuts of steak. I highly recommend patrons to visit Hussar Grill down the road for a superior dining experience. The lack of culinary expertise was not the only disappointment; the sourness of the conversation with the manager further exacerbated the negative experience. Suffice it to say, I will not be returning to this place.

I wish my lovely waitress all the best that she may find something better because she honestly deserves...

We recently visited Turn 'n Tender Steakhouse Waterfall Wilds and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory, mainly due to the poor service from our waiter.

From the moment we sat down, the waiter was inattentive and impatient. He took an unusually long time to pick up our orders and barely checked on us during our meal. When he did check on us, it was done in a very dismissive manner, often talking to us while already moving on to another table, which made us feel quite unwelcome.

Throughout the meal, we felt ignored, and it seemed like the waiter was rushing through his duties. His attitude was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The only time he gave us attention was when the bill came. Even with that, he was seemed very rushed to finalize the bill and move onto the next table.

This lack of attention and courtesy made our dining experience unpleasant.

We consider this our favourite restaurant as a family, but unfortunately had a terrible customer service experience this...

We had a Beautiful Evening! Although we called only 10 minutes before arrival, we were received with warm, smiling faces. A great way to celebrate my husband's birthday dinner. Our waitress Sibongile was courteous, friendly and attentive. She even brought over ice cream with a sparkler upon learning that it was a birthday celebration...it was Sooooo appreciated 🥰. It was my second time at the restaurant; the food and service did not disappoint. We opted for the biltong to share for starters, my family had steaks, done perfectly to their requirements including sides. I opted for the half portion lamb chops and veg. I am bummed i didn't have the full portion with leftovers for this mornings breakfast 🥰. All our meals arrived hot, well presented and everything tasted fresh and absolutely delicious 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. Turn and Tender has now become a family favorite restaurant 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 NB. I dived into my lamb chops, so i forgot to take a proper picture of it. I guess I will have to...
