Wimpy — Restaurant in Gauteng

Took my kids for late lunch today. Was furious with a waiter called Dora 1. Simply just asked her about the crumped chicken burger with muchrooms sauce on the picture at the drive thru. Didn't know what i was talking about! She had to go there to check. Then we asked her about the cheese sauce burger as per tv ad. Her answer was - finished. Asked her nicely what is finished. The patties, the sauce? She said the special.

Asked her to give us just another min then to decide because we wanted that special. She turned around and talked something in her own language............ Customer ..........! As she walked away. But with her body language you could definitely make out she was complaining about us and she was unhappy about something!

At that moment i lost it and went in to ask her what was the problem and what she said and what we as customers did to her. She was very rude!!

I was so so upset. I went back to fetch my kids to go. Then my kids were upset in the process.

The manager came to me and said she is very sorry about everything. Very nice lady! Asked me to please stay and she will take our order from there.

If it wasn't for her! Definitely thumbs up for her.

We normally go there to wash the cars while we eat. But to be truthful, we will rather go to Wimpy in Highfield next time. We can do the same there. A lot further but for a nice pleasant outing. Anytime!

I love Wimpy. It is my go-to breakfast spot. I love the food. The service is good, but I do have a gripe. I'm a generous tipper, well I think so at least. I think R50 on a R90 meal is not bad. What astonishes me is the waitress simply taps the machine and walks away. Not even "goodbuy or enjoy your day. "I don't want praises, but a" thank you "would be nice. I don't think I've ever seen a bit of gratitude. The waiters seem to think they deserve it. We usually get good food at Wimpy Jean avenue. The last two times we ordered through Mr Delivery. On Friday we ordered and the delivery with the food being prepared took 15 minutes which is WOW but then the chips were undercooked, the hasbrown cubes were burnt. Asked for soft egg on the burger and got hard egg. Toppings were less and the burgers were dry. This was a meal thrown together in less than 5 minutes. We are really dissapointed. We were huge fans of that wimpy but we paid over R470 for this food with delivery and we left more then half...
