One star is not even what they should get!!! No rating to -10 will be more suitable for this branch.
We went to eat at Santa Rosa Spur on Sunday, 2021/05/09.
We arrived and immediately ordered our beverages and food. We waited over 20 minutes just to receive our beverages, if not more. Then we had to ask the waiter for milk for my husbands filter coffee and sugar... How are these not basic things that get served to you when you order a hot beverage. Which by the way was not hot! Then the waiter gives the pathetic excuse of we are short of service staff... on Mothers day...? A day that is super busy... We had to ask our waiter to please remove our used cups... he did not do it by himself.
We waited nearly 1 hour for our food. When it arrived I got the shock of my life... the portion size is ridiculous! Super super little chips and onion rings. And cold food!!! It was really horrible. Due to waiting so long for our food we decided to just eat, and not to try and send the food back.
Then comes our bill... another issue.... 2 filter coffees rang up and we only ordered 1.
I am so disappointed. Paying R100 for a burger is to start with a bit much, and one wants value for your money. But what we got served is the total opposite of value for money. I call it robbery and waste of money. I am tired of spending my hard earned money on a franchise that cannot give me value for money, proper portion sizes and efficient service.
Service was clearly not a priority at this branch and the quality of food we received was shocking. If these things do not get immediate attention, you might end up losing more customers.Word of mouth goes a very long way for a business. If more and more bad word of mouth goes around, one will lose customers and never be able to...

Let me cut to the chase: the food was simply exquisite. Each dish was crafted with care and flavor, a testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff. But it wasn't just about the food; the service stole the show. With the same skilled staff from Santa Rosa Spur, every interaction was a delight. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment. It's rare to find a perfect blend of comfort and vibrancy, but Golden Oak Spur nailed it. However, there was one minor hiccup: the restroom situation. With only one unisex bathroom, complete with a baby changing station, some patrons might find this a tad inconvenient. Yet, with the mall ablution facilities nearby, it didn't pose a significant issue for us.
Without a doubt, we'll be returning. What impressed us even more was the attention to detail shown by the various managers, all eager to ensure everything was up to par.
And to our waiter, Rudolph, a special thank you! Your exceptional service made our visit truly memorable.
In sum, Golden Oak Sput Steak Ranch isn't just another restaurant; it's an experience worth savoring. Whether you're craving a mouthwatering steak or simply seeking top-notch service, this place delivers on all fronts. We can't wait for...

Felt like staff was a bit caught off guard as we were the 1ste to arrive early morning, but they quickly sprung into action as more guests started to come in.
Our waiter was super friendly and helpful - even with one in our team with a special dietary meal request and us asking her to take a group photo.
The food and drinks were on point! Fresh, warm, delicious food and yummy drinks. We thought Spur still makes omelet, but unfortunately it is no longer on the new menu. Compliments to the kitchen and thank you for helping our team member to also be able to eat with us.
The hostess might want to consider working the lunch or supper shift as she was hiding her smiles for us since arrival till departure with no warm welcome or greeting... Maybe she is not a morning person. A later shift might put a spring in her step and a smile on her face. I understand early mornings are not for everybody. Please put her in a shift where she can shine and make guests feel welcome and wanting to come back again. She is the after all the 1st and last impression of Spur.
Maybe next time we will be greeted with a bright smile and warm welcome...
