I have a lot to say about the noisy waiting staff and long wait, but I want to start by saying I just want my money back. Nothing else will fix this. Ordered the Croque Madam, medium eggs, two orders. Food arrived 40 minutes later. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing. Cheese on top definitely not melted. Cheese inside thick piece of disgusting congealed cheese, NO mustard cheese sauce, soggy bread, eggs way overdone, less than a teaspoon full of fried onions. If it's in the menu description, I want to see it, and taste it. Food was ice cold. Called manager over, very polite, offered to make replacements. After waiting 40 minutes, we were starving, so no. Offered to make replacements to take home. Ate the initial order, both my sister and I didn't even have 10% of the food. It was unappealing, cold, congealed disgusting cheese, extremely dry due to no sauce. Received replacements, specifically asked twice for side salad to be served separately, as we were going to eat at home. Again! Cheese on top not melted, cheese inside thick and congealed, definitely didn't see any heat apart from sitting under a lamp maybe. Again! No mustard cheese sauce, less than a teaspoon of fried onions. Salad placed in same container with 'supposedly' warm food. Total waste of time and money. Definitely not toasted, definitely not melted cheese, definitely no mustard cheese sauce and fried onions, tiny bit in middle of bread. Read moreI have been living/working in the area for years and used to enjoy visiting this particular establishment on Jean. However the last couple of visits have just become worse and worse with each subsequent visit. I thought I would give them one last shot today, but again I was very disappointed with the quality of food that was received. Ordered the classic eggs Benedict and after waiting for 40 minutes it finally arrived and from the first look it was already very disappointing. The portion size and presentation was absolutely appalling. The hollandaise sauce was congealed and dried out on the edges which makes me think this was reheated in the microwave. The hashbrown was basically a one bite size (as if made for a small child) and the tomato was not grilled at all. I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt and try it, however my first impression was proved right as it was completely bland and the English muffin completely soggy yet super heated when I cut through it which confirms my suspensions of it being microwaved. I honestly felt disgusted trying and struggling to eat it. I just cannot understand how this can be sent out and the staff are ok with serving this for the amount being paid. The price and quality received just does not correlate anymore. Not worth the money anymore honestly and sadly after multiple "second chances" I will not be returning to this establishment again. Read moreWe go to Mugg and Bean at least once a week to eat breakfast or lunch. We went to Mugg and Bean on the 23rd of December. We waited for 20 minutes and nobody served us so we left. The staff was standing in the front chatting and nobody came to serve us.
Then again I received very bad service on Monday. I phoned Mugg and bean at Jean Crossing to order 2 batches of the sesame-crusted chicken strips. The guy on the phone said its fine my order will be ready in 30 minutes.
I We then finished our shopping at Woolworths food and went to Mugg and Bean. When we got their the person who answered the phone forgot to put our order through. He then only put the order through. We then had to wait 45 minutes before we got out food sitting and waiting. The staff were are chatting and laughing and there was only one waiter taking orders and running around. The rest of the staff was chatting and standing in front of the coffee counter like they were on holiday. There were about 6 staff members there and one waiter was running around taking orders. That is very bad. I feel very bad for that waiter doing all the work and the others just standing around. I also feel like what is the purpose of a restaurant having a phone and taking orders if they “forget” to put it through? I really wish that the manager would ensure that the customers receive good service because through this I would rather go to another place where I receive...
