My first visit... an excellent venue for families with children. An amazing family oriented time of dining, fun, and games. The venue has play centers both indoors and outdoors. An added safety feature is the Child Minders, this group of dedicated staff ensured that the parents could enjoy their meals without having to stress over their children. No one leaves the play area or enters without the watchful eyes of the fantastic child minders. They work in such seamless cohesion, you won't even notice, the eagle eye effect on child safety. As for the meals, wow, in typical Italian style, the meals were excellent. From pizzas to the special flavor of day, the presentation, taste, and service was of a 5 star rating. The "bambino" menu caters to the little needs. An exciting thing for me was the fast turnaround time from order to delivery on the table for the kids. The special for the day was a rather delightful combo... a quarter chicken nestled on a bed of savory rice, saddled with a portion of veggies and topped by succulent pieces of deboned lamb. The taste was exquisite. There was a timeous check on the table to ensure everything was of a high standard. A lovely gesture was the slush puppy dessert for the kids at the end of their playtime in the play center and of their meals - on the house. Parking...

Hubby, myself and our 3 year old son went to Donna for dinner on 14 August 2025. My husband had the prawn risotto (of course I had to taste - delish!) and I had a classic fish and chips which was great too. For dessert my husband ordered their vanilla gelato and maple syrup waffle and I had a scoop of their lemon sorbet gelato. La Piazza has an awesome selection of gelato. The lady behind the gelato counter even offered tasters which I thought was a really lovely touch for one to make an informed decision ;)
The restaurant includes two play areas for the kids. One is outdoor (free) and the other is inside (more for the younger kiddies and has an added charge to it per child). What really stands out for me is that La Piazza has a number of child minders at each location. Often one finds restaurants do not have more than one childminder (if at all). Our boy landed up in both play areas but loved being in the indoor section. One of the childminders was playing with him and showing him how the equipment is used. It was really great to see. And the cherry on top was that hubby and I could have a warm, conversational dinner :)
Well done to the La Piazza team!...
Read moreWell that was certainly an experience... One of the worst I've had at restaurant in a long while. Where to start...
Took 20mins to have the previous customers glasses and rubbish taken off the table and only after me asking for someone to do it.
Asked for 2 flat white coffees, got Cappuccinos instead , asked for the correct order.... got the exact same milky watered down Cappuccino in a smaller cup?
30mins later finally got a food menu.
Food came pretty quickly once ordered BUT, Meal 1: Pizza that was still doughy and soggy. Meal 2: Gnocchi under cooked.
For the prices they charge, I'd have expected at the least semi decent food on a bad day. What we got was overpriced, partially cooked food.
We got asked by the staff to move our entire table mid way through our meal out from under the shaded structure into the glaring sun so that a bigger reserved table could accommodate another table onto their table.
In summary: If you want good food and coffee.... I suggest looking somewhere else. Everything ordered bar a plate of chips for my child was either wrong or undercooked.
