Guest House on Gillian — Hotel in KwaDukuza Local Municipality

Has great potential. However, take note of the following: No hangers. -Main gate remote working 20%. -No coffee (big disappointment) -Shower head in poor condition. -Low water flow. -Not able to sit outside on porch/balcony due to staff sitting there. -No management on the grounds which leads to extremely disturbing guests and being blocked in the driveway by taxis which leads to being late. -Emergency light does not work/was not charged. -Room 3 is directly next to wash rooms and storage room. No privacy. Room 3 should not be a room for guests. -Neighbours (house next door, not on the grounds) are extremely disturbing as well. Screaming and shouting.

I booked a stay at Guest House on Gullian 3 weeks in advance, but unfortunately, they made a mistake and double-booked the room. Despite my initial booking, they prioritized the other guest and left me with no choice but to seek alternative arrangements.

The communication was poor, with long delays in responding to my concerns. The manager seemed unhelpful and shifted the blame to the booking website. I was even asked to provide banking details before the issue was fully resolved, which I found unprofessional.

The unit appeared clean but the blinds were dirty and there were no strings to open and close them. The oven switch was non existent. The pilows were a health hazard. I removed the pillow cases to check them. There were no pillow protectors and the pillows were FILTHY. I have photos to prove this. We had to sleep without pillows. Further, the pillow fillings were lumpy and would not provide any support. The bed did not have a mattress protector either.
