"Rocky Road Cheesecake!". If those three words don't twirl your beanie and have you reaching for the car keys, then you are missing out on this hidden gem. Tucked away in the forest area near the beaches of of Ballito, the WaterBerry Coffee Shoppe is a surprise. I noticed on Google Maps that it was walking distance from our holiday accommodation, so we took a stroll to check the place out. I expected a small coffee shop in a local mini-mall, or maybe as part of a house but we were knocked out when we discovered what is hidden amongst the trees. Waterberry is a big, open, modern establishment but is tied nicely to the surrounding forest so even when seated inside (veranda seating is also available) you can experience the natural vibe. The shop also sells various preserves, coffees and other gifts so a browse amongst the displays is worth it. So much for the shop, but the food alone will knock your socks off. We had several visits to Waterberry over the course of our holiday and each time we enjoyed our time there. From full breakfasts, to coffee and cheesecake, the food is excellent and the service is great. I cannot recommend The Waterberry highly enough. If you go to Ballito and don't visit Waterberry, then you have missed out on one lf life's great experiences.

So hubby and I happened upon this cute little Cafe in Ballito last week Saturday. Wow! I was so impressed... This spot far removed from all the hustle and bustle of the busy CBD, nestled in and among nature's call, with a deck overlooking a beautiful, serene little pond was just what I needed. From the carpark to the Cafe I was overwhelmingly impressed. Such excellent service! From the moment we walked in the front door, Dee, the wonderful hostess warmly greeted us and seated us, to our cheerful waitress, Nokhukanya, who was a breathe of fresh air in the struggling hospitality industry. Every part of our dining experience was delightful, not too mention our meal - was exceptionally good. I had a scrumptious, freshly baked quiche with a garden salad and hubby had ginger and apple waffles with fresh cream. It's been a long time since we've had the full package of an eat out experience. We will most definitely be back for a few more visits to try the rest of the menu. Thank you Waterberry, you and your staff are doing an excellent job. Keep it up!

This place is very cute to have a girls brekkie. The music is very quaint and gives bridgerton vibes or a tea time atmosphere. I will say that the first time I came here, I loved it but I did get disappointed the one day as my avo toast was very small and not worth the price, they also ran out of yogurt on a weekend which was a bit strange as it was early morning but on the bright side when it was my first time it was so sweet. -Berry blaze, most scrumptious tart smoothie type beverage ever! Loved this. I am a sucker for berries and yogurt. Had it with ice cream the once and was also yum, a little ice cream with berries hurt no one. -avo toast on sourdough, their eggs were my favorite cause they were so bright and cooked perfectly runny and melted onto the toast like a river. A very healthy, hearty meal. -traditional breakfast, always a winner but recommend ordering extras just to fill you up!

Perfection is created at The Waterberry Coffee Shop. The set up is amazing, a relaxed and chilled atmosphere. There is a forest walkway which connects you with Nature, quite a nice thought out set up. The waitress was amazing, she was extremely attentive, helpful and thoughtful too. We were seated outside, the heat eventually got a little uncomfortable and the waitress noticed, ran to our table, dragged this heavy outdoor umbrella to our table. I thought that was super amazing for her to take the initiative to make us comfortable before we brought it to her attention. She made fantastic suggestions and we enjoyed every bite of our meals. The drinks are delicious. The chocolate Milkshake is absolutely velvety and creamy...the best we have ever tried. We cannot wait to try other items on the menu...we are actually looking forward to many visits to Waterberry Coffee shop.

Our family discovered this hidden gem in Ballito, tucked away on a corner of Dolphin Crescent, and we are smitten! A quiet coffee shop surrounded by tropical forest, you can sit in-or outside and listen to the birds while having a light meal or decadent cappuccino. And this is not JUST a coffee shop, it is supports local business by selling a variety of gorgeous goodies, from homemade jams to soy candles and beeswax body butter. We had a wonderful 'tea and cake' afternoon, sitting outside in the deck. Despite the kamikaze falling berries from the trees, it was still such an enjoyable experience, totally relaxing. Walk off your lunch by following the nature trail through the forest, a lovely, easy 10min stroll. Needless to say, we walked off with an armful of candles and beeswax products and more cheesecake slices! A definite stop for anyone visiting Ballito 💚💚💚💚💚

I'm all in for tranquil settings and good food for a date! We stopped by @thewaterberry today and I am in absolute awe. Just a few minutes away from Balitto lifestyle centre and ballito junction is this gem. The coffee shop has a modern but very natural setting, apart from their scrumptious meals the surrounding view is an absolute treat. The coffee shop is surrounded by lush greenery and the outside seating overlooks a small dam. Unfortunately they are not halal. I had the chicken and bacon burger which hit the spot. And we also tried of the Chicken and Mayo Baguette which was scrumptious. After your meal, there is a forest trail, super cute when you're on a date and need to work out all the carbs you just consumed. They were a little busy when we got there but the service was commendable. I highly recommend this little getaway from the busy city.
