Second star is for taste :) I tried this as wanted to start trying different places on Mr D. As some of the other reviews state...tasty yes for sure....value for money? Not in my opinion, won't order from here again with so many other options available. I just feel either be cheap and small, or expensive and big/worth it, unfortunately this is expensive, and small. Photos are of my R95 burger. For reference it's the size of a junior cheese burger from McDonald's. Obviously everyone to there own in terms of size vs price, but for me I hope this review helps someone trying to chose a new place and you unsure of what to expect. I picked up two cheese burgers today on my way to a business meeting, It’s not often I’m in Glenashley. Well, I might have to make more excuses to visit my old suburb because those two cheese burgers were the third best I’ve ever had in my life and that is high praise. I enjoyed the size (nothing worse than an oversized burger falling all over the place), the patty was full of flavor and I loved the burger sauce/relish vibe, I think that tang and hit of onion is the signature flavor of a Chunky’s burger. I wolfed them down chop-chop! Will be back soon to try the rumored tacos (and a couple more cheese burgers)!

EDIT: I had the tacos and they’re amazing! I travelled all the way from Kloof 3 times already to stuff my face with awesome...

Edit: my 5th visit and the 3rd time I tried the cheese and bacon burger, can’t get enough of it. Wow, well done Chunky. If I could give you 6 stars today I would. Little details, slightly sweet bacon, chopped onion, great pickle and sauce, all balanced perfectly. Definitely 1 of my best burgers ever. Excellent value too at this level of quality.

Good burger at a really good price, you could pay this at mcd for a quarter pounder. This is the real deal fresh smash burger though, why would anyone choose mcd over this.

They may have specials too, which could be cheaper.
