FÁBRICA @ Glenore Centre — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

I’m not even sure where to begin this tale, but as someone who has absolutely LOVED the fabrica in sunningdale, coming to this one has been such a disappointment. The first issue was asking to order coffee to go 3 times. It’s possible I wasn’t very clear when we walked in but after repeating myself a second time and then being handed food menus, then asking to order coffee to go again for the 3rd time and the waiters being like “okay fine” and not handing me any drink menu. I felt rushed and overlooked.

And then to add insult to injury my partner ordered a coffee with almond milk ( as she is Severly lactos-intolerant) the order for the milk alternative was ignored. She spent the rest of the day in pain and in the bathroom. Ruined our entire Sunday plans.

Don’t think I’ll ever be going back to this fabrica again. Management needs to train staff better and orders need to be adhered to for allergies. Very disappointed. (Baring in mind we tipped...

Have been here several times now the menu is good as are their hygine practices. The last time my husband had a surprisingly nicely done steak. However today my medium rare rump was a over done and dry -and my son's chicken basket was so paltry that when we pointed it out- they brought a huge basket of what should have been the actual order for over R90. No manager was in sight- all communication was between the waitress and Cook. Please be aware franchisee that your staff are doing you a disservice when you are not around. We got there at 11am on a Saturday and ordered breakfast, nothing fancy just standard breakfasts and omelettes. An hour later we had to ask where our food was and we only got it in drips and drabs at around 12:30.

During this time we saw the waiter once, which was when we originally had to flag them down to place our drinks and food order.

You could argue they were under-staffed but a) it's December in Durban b) at no point did they offer any explanation or apology and c) other tables who sat down after us had already received their food, ate and left before...
