Ocean Basket Klerksdorp — Restaurant in Matlosana Local Municipality

I recently visited Ocean Basket with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience left me thoroughly dissatisfied. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the service was shockingly slow.

I found myself waiting an unreasonable amount of time for both drinks and food, making the dining experience quite frustrating.They took the wrong order also. It's perplexing how a seemingly quiet evening could result in such delays. The staff appeared indifferent to the lack of prompt service, further diminishing the overall dining atmosphere.

The anticipation for a delightful seafood meal quickly turned into impatience and disappointment. If Ocean Basket aims to provide a pleasant dining experience, addressing these issues promptly would be a step in the right direction.

Worst Ocean basket experience. We had to wait so long period for our food, we where only two people. There where 6 clients max in the whole restaurant. They firstly never came to check on us for more drinks. While we waiting for our food we see from where we sitting how the staff and waiters are eating out the kitchen over the food they are busy preparing for customers which took my appetite away. When they brought the food the order was wrong. The food and order they made wrong they take it back then immediately we see how staff is digging in and eating the food. Wow never seen something like this in my life. Looks like they taking orders wrong onpurpose to feed themselves. Hope management starts keeping a close eye on there kitchen because the staff is eating out the kitchen just how they see fit and like.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared. From the sushi to the grilled prawns, every bite was a treat. What truly made the experience exceptional was our waitress, Dineo. She was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us often without being intrusive. Her service truly elevated our entire dining experience.
