This was our first time ordering from this establishment. My husband ordered 2 crumbed chicken burger meals as a takeaway.
We were extremely disappointed with these burgers as we could not even finish eating them.
Firstly the bun was toasted so long that it was too stiff and you could not even chew it, secondly the crumbed/battered chicken breast was inedible. Two bites into the burger and we could eat anymore of it as the chicken breast was so overcooked that it was dry, hard and stringy. My jaws hurt from trying to chew it.
We also found that the batter was hard and crispy on the chicken breast that it actually made our teeth hurt (similar to the texture of chewinhlg murkhoo) The one piece of lettuce on the burger l was black, and it was limp and disgusting. The final straw was after the second bite when I bit into the tomato and realized it was off. It was sour and tasted rotten.
Very very disappointed as this was our first time trying out food from your...
Read moreDelicious top quality well prepared meals and drinks. I had the sushi, the salmon was fresh and not lacking in the meal. The wasambi was to my liking, it was strong in flavour with a good kick unlike most other places in Pietermaritzburg were you have to put alot of wasabi to actually taste and feel it. My wife had the teriyaki chicken, it was a delicious healthy option which also lacks in most restaurants in Pietermaritzburg. The service was excellent, professional and prompt. The atmosphere kept to its Zen theme, calm, chilled, tranquil with a beautiful well kept set up surrounding. We will definitely visit again.
Important note: I suggest you ask the waiter or waitress to describe your meal before you place your order so you order something to your preference. The menu needs more pictures of the meals to help customers know what they are ordering and to eliminate customers ordering something that they...
Read moreI ordered from Mr D today - 24 pieces of sushi , and I was not happy with the quality of the tuna and salmon. While eating I noticed That kind of fish is supposed to be vibrant in colour and moist. But both had a lot of brown, or translucent colouring to it, as well as being extremely dry. Discolouration in fish to that degree is a sign it’s either been sitting out for too long or it’s old. This is actually really dangerous because food poisoning from spoiled raw fish can be very unpleasant and sometimes dangerous. Bacteria on old seafood is a big health risk. If you know the fish isn’t safe to eat rather cancel the order and not sell it than potentially be sued in the future by an ill customer. The ginger also - that is supposed to be pink as well, was brown and some translucent. I’m actually really disappointed . My order number was...
