Such a lovely hidden gem! A little sanctuary with amazing staff and delicious food. I only had the breakfast this time round but I'll be back. Update: Decided to head back to Starlings but unfortunately the incredible experience I had a few weeks ago was no where to be seen. Two staff members walked right passed while I waited to be seated. No warm greeting and waiting time to be shown a menu was 10 min. I was excited to have a breakfast again but decided against it for two reasons. 1. No one came to ask if I wanted to eat anything. 2. If the coffee took 10 min to get I wasn't sure how long breakfast would take.

Overall experience was slightly underwhelming. My issue in particular was around the fact that i was charged R88 (R80 + tip refer image of bill) for a coffee, probably the most expensive coffee in Cape Town… it was meant to be a triple cappuccino. Then, if the coffee was any good, maybe i could be ok with the price, but unfortunately it was mediocre at best. When addressed with the manager on duty, it was apparent that the manager was not empowered to deal with situations like this. This venue was very disappointing and sorry to do this, but certainly would not recommend it.

A chilled place to enjoy a chat with some friends, there is an indoor and outdoor section and each as equally lovely. If you need a calm environment this is the place to go. The baked goods are amazing are amazing and well worth a try. The coffee and green juice are top standard as well. If you are a café lover, or on a date, or just want to catch up with some friends, or enjoy a treat alone... this is definitely a place to go to!

We went to this place for lunch on a weekday. The service was pretty slow, our waiter was confused about what was and what wasn’t available. We ordered a chicken wrap and a chicken sandwich. Both the wrap and the salad were served with a small side salad garnish. The chicken wrap was quite bland. The chicken sandwich was delicious. But overall, this place is ridiculously overpriced at almost R300 for two sandwiches, and a coffee.

You can park at the entrance of the restaurant, but it's narrow and there's not enough space, so park by the side of the road. The food is delicious and plentiful. The coffee was good, too. The staff were kind. The bathroom was clean, too. There is also an outdoor table. All right, but there may be bird poo on the chair, so please take a good look.🤪 It's a good restaurant I want to visit again. There is no play area for children.

Life is better with coffee and breakfast under the trees at Starlings. This small restaurant is exceptionally popular, so don't be too surprised if there isn't immediately a table available. Good news is... it's worth it. Their aromatic brews and concise, expertly prepared breakfast menu has, in all our visits, never been a disappointment.
