Wanted to give zero star but had to give one star.
Tourist trap would sum this place up.
There's 6 of us adult and 2 children. We paid for the 85k won set meal each which will give us quite a lot of the premium items such as sashimi, live octopus, grilled abalone, tempura, grilled fish, soup and many more.
We arrived at 7.30 and sashimi was served really quickly. Thereafter no more food were served. We asked the server loads of time and they keep saying cooking. But tables that came later than us (who are local) get served first. They came later. Left earlier and got all their food within half hour time period.
We waited and asked. But only got one pot of small soup for the 6 of us. Then said they still cooking and have to wait. It was 9pm then.
It got worst. At 10.30pm they decided they will serve us 1x grilled fish which was smaller than a male adult palm size. 4 small tiny tempura and nothing else.
They insist still cooking but we were the last customers already. I went down and saw kitchen closing. And this was then they ask tt we pay. Charged us full price of 85k won each before tax and insist we keep rushing them so only can send such food over.
Disappointment is an understatement.

Read moreI do not recommend this place, the servers are rude particularly that was an ahjumma that placed the seafood on the grill for a few seconds and then throw it into the small tin bin that is meant for consumption but the food is not cooked yet. At the same time, the fire is very big not slow burning like charcoal style.. maybe that's why the ahjumma cooks the food for only a few seconds? So it's either the food is uncooked or badly burnt.. We also don't feel welcome to stay at the place for very long, seems like they are rushing us away.. some food we ordered never came.. While they don't have to cater the foreigners, given the high amount of foreigners in the area, I thought it would be better to put the cooking instructions in English. The ahjumma just pointed to a poster on the wall (all words in Korean with lengthy instructions) and asked us to follow the instructions to cook.. Sure there are translating apps, but the way that she said it feels like "if you can't understand, that's your problem". Lastly, the food is not cheap, there are other options with better food and service. Our family left the place with a bitter taste figuratively and also literally, because the food was...
Read moreWe had been looking forward to visiting Mipo for two years, but our experience was very disappointing. The restaurant was severely understaffed, service was slow, and only a third of our food was served after a long wait. While locals were served promptly, many foreigners like us faced long delays.
We were charged KRW 199,000 for a meal we barely received. When I asked to pay only for what was served, the owner initially offered just a KRW 20,000 discount, then KRW 30,000 — which felt insulting. I insisted on paying only for the items we actually got, totaling KRW 138,000, which they accepted. Given the hype, this visit was a letdown — and unfortunately, our...
