Overall experience was initially pretty good. Rooms are clean, and initial check in was smooth. However, the night before my check out, I asked the receptionist (family name Kang) if I could arrange for a late check out and he got very defensive and rude. I had asked him if a late check out is possible, as the hotel guidebook clearly states that check out extensions are possible depending on room availability with additional charges. Perhaps it was because the manโs English was not strong, but he got very angry when I asked him questions politely to a) clarify the official check out timing and b) ask if it would be possible to check out later. He kept cutting me off in a rude and aggressive tone when I asked if it would be possible to arrange a later check out, and kept saying they could store our baggage for us after the official check out timing. I was really puzzled as to why he took such an angry tone with me when I was just asking about whether it would be possible. I would have understood if the hotel was fully booked and they couldnโt extend our check out, but there was absolutely no reason for him to talk to us in such an aggressive and unprofessional manner when we had spoken to him politely and asked questions based on what we saw on the hotel guide book. Unfortunately, this experience completely soured what would have been an otherwise pleasant...
ย ย ย Read moreThis review comes as comparison with 3 other hotels we stayed in Korea and Mipo comes in 2nd.
It was also our shortest stay and i would actually just recommmended for that
Pros: Amazing views if you choose ocean view room Very modern and quirky (reception is on 3rd floor and just one floor for the rooms) Toiletries provided - toothbrush and toothpaste, vanity sets, bathrobes, scrub bath towel, comb, shampoo and body wash/lotion of high standards You can help yourself to water/tea/coffee from Reception at all times They have a restaurant on 2nd floor( did not check it out ) and a rooftop bar with western snacks and cocktails and amazing views of the beach and ocean. Many restaurants just as you exit + a 7eleven Breakfast space has an outdoor area which is lovely for sunbathing. For some reason when we were there the doors were locked.
Cons: Room quite small We struggled to have our 2 suitecases open(we had to play some tetris) - no warebrobe, just some hanging bits (3) Breakfast - very frugal - some toast, boiled eggs, croissants, youghurt and you can make your own fried eggs (which might sound cute but if i wanted to cook my own food and then wash dishes i would have...
ย ย ย Read moreGreat hotel for the price with an eye for detail (anti-slip floors in the bathroom, bidet toilet). View from the balcony where we had breakfast was also top-notch. Breakfast was simple (not a problem since there was plenty of good food around), but we particularly loved the yoghurt. There was also free bottled water and coffee at the front counter for guests. TVs in the twin room were absolutely huge, and the rooms were a good size, larger than expected after reading some past reviews. Good bathroom products as well, and the moisturiser was not overly greasy/sticky. Location is probably as good as it gets in Haeundae, particularly for the price. A literal stoneโs throw away from Haeundae Beach.
Overall cleanliness was good but found that the floor beneath the bed was a little sticky, a point that housekeeping should take note of. Also did not like the fragrance of the air freshener/humidifer in the room, but it might be just personal taste; we had the default option of leaving the...
